Great post and numbers! Thank you for the FE values. I also love the brake-hold feature. I was just commenting to my wife about how I was stunned to average 42.1 mpg on my 130 mile round trip yesterday (80% hwy, 70 mph, temps 56 to 62 ish). I too try to keep it in electronic mode as long as...
I’ll chime in for the stats. Maverick is my 4th new truck…
1995 Ranger 2.3 l XLT s/c manual 4x2
2008 F150 4.6 l 4-door regular cab STX 4x2
2012 F150 4.2 l v6 XLT s/c 4x2
The first two above were FUN to drive. The third, not so much.
Replaced 2012 F150 and 2018 Fusion hybrid with a Maverick...
Great post on entry segment excitement as compared to supercar segment excitement! Never heard it that way!
My first truck was also a 1995 Ranger XLT s/c 4 cyl manual.
I’m glad to see someone add the value of time. For my work, I drive a minimum of 45k miles per yr, and now I drive a MAV Hybrid. While driving my wife’s primary car, a MachE awd ext, I saw the potential cumulative time savings from less stops at a gas station, and then also applied this...
I've been driving our new Maverick Hybrid Lariat for over one month now. Here are some fuel economy observations.
As a backdrop to my comments, we're not new to Ford Hybrid cars / trucks.
My previous two primary vehicles:
2014 Fusion Titanium Hybrid (sold it at 205,000 miles and never needed...
There must be some truth there. A colleague ordered his hybrid XLT in August, no spray-in, and he received his on Jan 7 (11 days before ours arrived, despite my order placed 7 weeks ahead of his order).
The interior is mostly blue, with accents of light grey and the other colors, depending on the trim level (blue with blk/grey XL, blue with orange XLT, or blue with bronze Lariat). But as you can see in the pictures I uploaded, the incoming light can affect how that blue looks. Sometimes the...
Yes dazed89, I concur. Here's a view of the cactus grey with the Lariat interior...
This exterior/interior combo below reminds me of a choice I made on a previous car. I cringed every time I got in until I sold it a year later...
You will like it. The primary interior plastic trim on all three trim levels is bluish, and that trim is often blueish with warmer tones depending on the incoming light. I look at the other exterior colors a lot, and now 5 days into driving the Alto Blue Mav, I'm more and more convinced Alto...
The more I drive it, and I see the interior in overcast conditions, I realize alto blue is by far the best match for the lariat interior. Back in 1993, I settled (from inventory) for a lighter blue metallic, Bimini blue with a blue interior on a Ford probe five speed. Worst choice I ever made...
I’m going to leave it the way it is. If someone needs to know the model of my vehicle, they can walk up close to it and read stamped the letters. But for a brief moment, I considered metallic silver or metallic bronze letters.
There are many weep holes throughout the bed area. The bulk are at the front of bed on the floor. I like that. None of our other trucks had weep holes (or at least I never found any on our previous trucks because I had always gone with drop-in liners).
Ask your sales rep if he/she can give you the railcar number. Then follow this link to a thread in this forum on rail tracking:
