Simple.
1. Price - It was cheaper than my SUV
2. Cost of ownership - MPG, insurance, and overall ownership (tires etc.)
3. Functionality - It does everything an SUV can and more. The only real loss is the 3rd row seat, and I didn't use that much anymore. The explorer could tow more, but I rarely...
The ecoboost has the ability to auto adjust to the ethanol or lack of it. I learned this from ZFG racing on my explorer ST. Everyone was mixing 93 and e85 for more power. There was a limit to what it could adjust to though.
I wish. My deductible is about the same as the windshield. I had just renewed and foolishly forgot to include the Ford Windscreen CYA coverage because the window cost so much. I could pay for it, but it is the principal that it is really unnecessary in my opinion.
I just need to validate that...
I am hoping to install a base model windshield on the lariat due to the $800 soundscreen window price. Does anyone know if the base window will work on the lariat? I assume so since it is just glass, but hoped someone knows for sure.
The dash tray that goes behind the screen. It was 100% my fault, though. I didn't notice that it did not say 2025 on amazon. Despite not fitting all that well, I was able to rig it to work well enough by adding something under the tray. I wish it would fit flush with the new 2025 screens, but it...
You will have to program them more than likely. I've done it recently on an explorer and it was simple. There are youtube videos on how to get the truck into relearn mode and how to walk to each wheel and get it to add with the little tool you can buy off amazon for 10 bucks.
The learn mode...
Because ford offered A plan pricing for the entire country. (A plan = Employee pricing.) I am not sure if that includes the Maverick or not because not all of their lineup gets the discount, but it will impact all car prices in the long run.
I did these in the rail system. I just ground down the edges as described by someone else on here with a bench grinder and they fit fine. I plan to replace the back mounting bracket with a steel one so they are stronger. If you want to use a hole to mount another tie down point, you're going to...
I have the OMT and it works fine. It doesn't slow the tailgate down until it opens about 10% first, and then slows it substantially. I figure I can always buy another one later so no big deal. Well worth it IMO.
Bet it was added on your purchase originally, and they didn’t tell you. It is quite common nowadays for them to try and add LoJack type tools, and upsell you a service. Check with your dealer.
how often are they used, and can you use a 90 degree USB cable? It is all how creative you can be. Honestly, I'd just pop it out in a few seconds as If I needed the port. I don't need the ports when driving so...
Sure they can and will, but the extender is as simple as flip it out of the bed and your good to go. It also acts as a bed divider when inside the bed, and is easy to pop out whenever you want.
Yep.. My biggest complaint for sure. It was the same on my explorer ST. Stupid Ford for not correcting this.
Bed extender made that a minor problem. I thought i'd hate the Lund ford extender (I paid 15 bucks after points) but it has been amazing at extending the bed enough to allow me to fit...
What was the Kia part number or the link to buy it? I've seen so many different threads about various mirrors that it is somewhat confusing to find the right mirror for the harness. Looks great, though! I think I want homelink now.
I have that ford bed extender also, and I'd not be upset it covers the 12v spots. I agree with Hot Runr Guy that you'd be better off adding a 12v over by the AC/LED area if you must use the bed extender with a 12v at the same time. I'm just happy we have so many options to rig up anything we...
