Iāve had my Lariat for about 5 months, and the last few big storms in town resulted in water on the floorboard. I am familiar with this issue because it happened to my Explorer ST when a new windshield was installed. Water draining in through the cowel, and in the cab through the air filter. It...
Right now I'd use it to hold the kids golf clubs from bouncing around in the bed. I think all the clubs fell out of my son's bag this morning when I went over the train track. Ooops. Nice net!
Sure are a lot of people that don't know how the ecoboost motors work on here. It is the primary reason they are so easy to tune with the cam phasers, VVT and ECU. With Forscan you can actually read how much ethanol is in the fuel LIVE. I worked with ZFG racing to get my old ST to around 550hp...
My cheap Chinese one has worked fine so far. Very little water gets in, but I havenāt done the weatherstripping around the tailgate. I donāt actually regret going cheap over the name brands at this point. Iād prefer a low profile one, but I didnāt want the rails vs having the ability to just...
I'd like my maverick to have ventilated or air-conditioned seats like my old explorers had. In Texas, you need that extra cooling when you park in the sun.
The only other think i'd like to see is some storage in the bed like the Santa Cruz and Honda have. That would be a very cool feature over...
It sure seems like every time I park in a public parking lot I will come back to a giant f350 parked next to me so they can take pictures. I guess I'm not the only one.
Does it still take a beta version of Forescan? I was waiting until we see a normal release and a bigger list of changes, but this might be enough to get me to move On it now.
My 2025 lariat windshield cracked in the first month. It is $800+ to replace it, and no one had the thing in stock. Iāve tried to find someone with the older windshield with no sound screen. I donāt really care about that nonsense as long as it works. With the camera. No luck yet.
I suggest...
Just be warned that they are not very strong. The aluminum back plate that you tie the bolt into isn't very strong. I suggest replacing it with a steal one. I cut a rod from home depot and threaded it for the bolt.
I tend to agree, but I might take the risk with adding a bit of height to the front to even it out. The big risk is the CV joints, clearly. It seems ford has recognized the problem and has upgraded them on the 2025s, but I bet they are still subpar if used for off roading and custom suspensions...
You're Welcome! I'll continue to do what I want, too! Thanks for letting me know that people don't hot rod their mavericks. I'm sure the EPA would bust them if they tuned their ecoboosts. Besides, that would defeat the purpose of point A to point B transportation only!
Because it is way lower on the front and looks like a sports car in that fashion. If that is the look you want, keep it. Many folks want to lower the rear for the opposite effect.
Personal preference.
Blackstone. It is from Harry Copperfield Blackstone Dresden; the main character from Dresden Files (books/tv show.) Its an all black with BAP so why not?
