I was the first person to figure out how to add more selectable drive modes on the maverick because I wanted sport mode so much on my FX4 and now just tap the SDM button 5 times when I on my seatbelt. I think you are missing the point of my posts and I am not explaining myself very well. Good...
Eco feels laggy and unresponsive at times.
Sport holds higher RPMs which sounds noisy and adds an engine braking effect.
Both of these things would be perceived as an issue by most vehicle buyers.
98% of the customers for a low end vehicle are probably not going to even use the drive modes...
I would guess that they are more concerned about people leaving the vehicle on a drive mode that isn't good. What happens when someone forgets it on Mud mode and then someone else drives it around for 6 months like that?
"Normal" gives the best experience and is always an ok choice. They will...
The telematics thing is consistent across about 15 VINS between FX4 and non-FX4. Whether it has anything to do with functionality I have no idea...it's probably just something that identifies the specific vehicle and trim to Ford.
I have modified 760-05-01 before using a specific test version...
It's always been like this. Spacer lifts on the maverick look hilarious and awkward.
Maybe someone will come out with a kit that fixes the geometry in the future.
The only thing I saw consistently different on the IPC between FX4 and non-FX4 is 720-07-02 across both the 4 inch and 6 inch displays. There's also ABS 760-04-03, ABS 760-05-01 and Telematics 754-08-01.
Tilt and incline angle. I'm assuming it's for those journalist test days where the truck drives up a steep slope and they can show off how it's pretty steep. My forester had the same thing...basically zero practical use.
Works, confirmed. Interesting that it's showing UK-style signs on the dash. Some of the screenshots I found for the Escape Platinum show the correct sign icons....so maybe there's a sign region adjustment in the IPC?
Just in case people didn't see it, @Maverick2022XL figured out how to get around the drive mode not enabled thing by writing one other value. Details here: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/forscan-mod-enable-all-drive-modes-eco-sport-mud-and-snow-confirmed-working.10229/
I ran out of steam on this once I started going down the firmware replacement route. Just didn't seem worth the headache. @Maverick2022XL pushed it over the top and found a solution and is also figuring out some other awesome stuff with traffic sign recognition etc. And of course @Tyvemattis who...
Awesome. I actually figured out the SDM mapping in the other forscan thread (https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/has-anyone-used-forscan-yet.4250/page-2#post-123906) but hit the "drive mode not available" and sent my results to forscan team a while back but the farthest we got was...
AWESOME!!! I figured out how to change the unlocks but was thinking we had to change the firmware to use the other modes.
How did you figure out the 760-04-01 thing??
It's cracking me up that everybody is posting like these files include all the ford-designed FITS accessories (without even opening the file to see what's in there).
MRBOOM already made a video about how you can download the accessories now.
PETG or ABS would be nice but it's a headache on my printer. I'm not super worried about the temperature thing...it's not in direct un-tinted sun so just have to keep the car interior temp below 120F, and even if it does sag a bit oh well.
A garbage bag holder that one of my kids isn't going to shear off by bumping it. Most of the stuff I've seen looks pretty fragile, especially if people are using PLA.
Really? I've been waiting for months for this. Having a CAD model of the truck-side is way better than trying to measure it and then just doing a bunch of test prints. It's easy to get the fitment perfect when you can do a section view.
.stp will open in basically any cad program
.igs is a little more weird but is also a multi-program format
.CATPart is the original CATIA file
These files are not the accessories, they are for the truck-side mating slot so people can design stuff to fit.
