For anyone that is confused by this thread, let me try to help.
In some EV/Hybrids they pipe engine sound into the cab of the vehicle thru the stereo speakers, (this is not mandatory)
On new EV's and Hybrids by law there is an external speaker that makes sound while the ICE engine is not running.
That's quite a bit of damage, I wouldn't be surprised if your insurer calls it totaled.
Looking closely at the pictures I would say it is definitely totaled, Pillars, hood, doors, windshield, hood...etc.
I agree completely, I don't have anything against EV's, but up here in the frozen waste lands of Maine where chargers a few and far between I prefer to have my own onboard charging device, So hybrid it is for me.
