Mocky CP: what model Michelins do you have? I am about 70 miles from you in SE Mich, and have almost 15k miles on the OEM continentals.... am looking at different Michelin treads.
My mpg experience is about the same - my cumulative mileage is about 40.8 for the entire 8 months of driving, and...
I know this thread is about EB Mavs, but I have to say that I like the Sports mode, used VERY occasionally, on the Hybrid. Takes all hesitation out of the drive train. Really gooses it. If you find yourself in a stoplight drag with a Santa Cruz, by all means, go into Sports mode and smoke 'em.
I can't speak to others' problems, but when I've contacted Ford directly (over the years) I've found them to be remarkably responsive. Like, a big company like Ford, I actually talked to a guy who could actually give me an answer?? Those moments are gold
Yes, it's kind of funny that according to most accounts, the Maverick was designed for millennials, or Z gen, or whatever....
The only way it doesn't appeal to someone our age is: it doesn't play CDs!!! ;-)
I bought it and I'm living the dream.
With my 2016 Expedition, it was the first time I'd ever ordered a vehicle. I finally decided that if I'm going to make 48 or 60 payments on a vehicle, it should be just the way I wanted it. So, if you see a dark green Expedition XLT with beige leather...
If it were mine, I would update the wheels. Put the steelies in plastic bags and shelve them, and in 8 years when you sell the Mav you can include them in the deal.
I think the steelies look kind of "cute" when painted, but really, the XLT wheels are (IMHO) soooooo much nicer and better...
I have a 2016 Expedition that I bought new and it has had nothing but brushless, touchless washes. The paint looks new. I plan on doing the same with my Mav. I am almost at 13,000 mi with the mav and it has never been touched with a brush!
I think the hybrid decision is not JUST about money. It's also a good feeling to drive for two weeks, dozens of short trips around town, mixed in with some 10-20 mi errands, and after 2 weeks and 400 miles you go fill it up and it takes 9.7 gallons. It's f""king awesome, I'm here to tell you...
Well, the movie didn't bomb, did it?
And part of their marketing concept was that the movie was MADE for theaters, not lap top screens.
But what do I know? I haven't seen it yet, and it's December 2022.
The first time I went to a Ford dealer to work on ordering my Maverick, I was thinking Cyber Orange would be cool. Sounded cool, right?
I pulled up to the dealership and there was a Bronco sport out front rocking the cyber school bus orange whatever, and I instantly changed my color choice...
So, I am at almost 11,000 miles, and I have recorded ever purchase of gas - including the odo reading, # of gallons and while I was at it, price.
Being a numerologist, and loving the numbers 8, 3 and 5 (part of the Fibonacci sequence and also my birthdate 8-3-55), I let the gas pump click off...
I would if I had a big solar array at my home, and also a big generator so I could charge it up at home even when the power is out.
Things change. In 40 years, what our grand kids are driving will be way different than what we have.
Scott, glad you recognized the nice visibility. Wife and I took our hybrid out West, and the "sightseeing" was great. I was a little surprised at your price tag, but you got a lot of stuff I didn't (Eco boost, heated seats, 360). Love my High Pepper Red hybrid and I paid $24,700., so along with...
