That's what the first sales rep told me over the phone, and I was told the same by another rep when I went to visit their lot earlier today since I happened to do some shopping at IKEA just up the road.
And, they got nine Mavericks on their lot! That's the most I've seen together around these...
Non-refundable deposit is a non-starter for me. Dealer would pocket that $500 if I were to back out of the purchase for whatever reason (ie truck suffered damage during transport).
I just called Bowen Scarff and theyāre currently not taking pre orders, and when the order banks open next month...
Has the local dealers now require putting down a deposit ahead of 2023 orders? I had talked to a rep at Bickford Ford in Snohomish and he said itās $500 non-refundable.
I went to two dealerships last week. Dealer 1 asked for a $500 non-refundable deposit, and that is a non-starter for us. Dealer 2, first sales rep said $500 refundable but the second sales rep said he wonāt require a deposit just for the Maverick.
I will have to make visits to more local...
I dig that non-metallic grey and also I really like that Moondust White or whatever itās called on the ā18+ GTIs. I wouldāve picked that if I were to buy a Mk7 again. I have a ā16 GTI in Carbon Steel Grey.
At least HPR is returning as thatās my first choice for my MY23 order. I was leaning towards VB until I saw an XLT FX4 in that color and decided that a bit too vibrant for my liking.
Also our neighbors that own pickup trucks and SUVs all bought them in a variation of dark blue so Iām picking red.
When I test drove one (XLT FX-4, black with black rims, owned by Ford corporate for dealer training and not for sale) last fall when they began hitting dealer lots, it had a few rubber neckers and finger pointing when I drove by.
Then last weekend at a local brewery I parked behind a Hot Pepper...
Currently have a 04 Grand Cherokee Laredo which will eventually be replaced with a Maverick XLT FX-4. Will miss having to park wherever I damn well please without worrying about dings and scratches, no monthly car payment, itās a SUV with a covered and secured cargo area, and itās a absolute...
Itās been said already, a claim should be filed through the insurance of the at-fault driver by the dealership since itās still their vehicle in stock. They should have fleet insurance coverage for all their vehicles in their possession.
I wouldnāt buy that truck at full MSRP unless if you were...
If they can put in AWD Hybrid for $28k-$30k, drives well, nicer interior and look like a mini Tacoma/Hilux and not a āRAV-4 with a pickup bedā monstrosity, I may seriously consider it in the future. However I wonāt expect this truck to be out for another few years (if they havenāt already...
Whenever the Tacoma faithful calls their rigs āTacoā, I get hungry. š¤¤
Now some fun facts. I live in the Seattle-Tacoma metro area. City of Tacoma has this rep for smelling like ārotten eggsā or sulfur due to the paper mill that was present in the area. We called it āAroma of Tacomaā.
Also...
AWD hybrid, SYNC 4 and widescreen infotainment display, a la carte options like heated mirrors and heated seats without being tied to a package, Lariatās headlight LED accent lighting and premium stereo option for XLT.
The same situation when my Dad bought a 1993 Ranger STX 4x4 5MT regular cab short bed (in red with STX graphics as pictured below) as a cheap daily work beater ten years ago after his 1985 Nissan King Cab he had since new bit the dust. Whenever I ride with him in the Ranger I had his lunch...
