I’m not really big on Ford’s passenger car line outside of the Mustang, but I admire their trucks and the Bronco.
I’ve been a two-time VW Golf GTI owner, and after I had paid-off my 2016 I needed a four-wheel drive vehicle for the PNW winters that my GTI is absolutely useless in, and also...
Tell me about it, the same thing had been done to my front bumper. Went to Costco before closing time when it wasn’t busy, parked at the far end of the lot with no other vehicles and carts around. Didn’t noticed the scuff until the next morning. I chalked that one as intentional. Sucks that I’ve...
Vs. our “mid sized” 2004 WJ Grand Cherokee. Maverick is a foot or so longer in overall length than the WJ, but width, height and ground clearance are very close.
I just received mine yesterday. Looks to be well constructed and it has foam with adhesive back on the mounting end so it won’t scratch up the center console. The trash bin height reaches the floor.
Downside is, maybe if you have seat covers like mine does (also from Mabett), if you need to...
I just bought that one off eBay for a little under $20 bucks and sealed. Could be a genuine Ford part, fits the owner’s manual like a glove. Much nicer than the tacky cheap vinyl pouch with my local dealer’s name emblazoned on it.
I bought these a few weeks ago and I think these are the best seat covers for the money and the way they fit.
The armrest cover is a bit of a let down, with the straps running under the armrest you’d have to close it hard for it to latch. And would’ve been nice for other color options but black...
I haven’t driven many pickup trucks to compare, yet the Mav has better steering feel than the latest Nissan Frontier I test drove. The Frontier’s steering was heavier and cumbersome to drive around in. Combined with the rather poor rear seat comfort and being $45k, I wrote it off.
Recently I...
Prices varies between Line-X franchises or location. I paid around $675 after tax for standard Line-X, skipped the premium upgrade since I have a tri-fold tonneau cover anyway. I’d find another Line-X dealer for another quote.
Yesterday I was on a road trip to and from Whistler, BC and had two newer gen Ranger drivers raced me on the highways on both the Canadian and US side. I’ve yet to encounter this with full size truck owners but, c’mon man you drive a damn Ranger like I’m impressed with how big your manhood is.
My 2016 Golf GTI is my daily commuter and hooning around vehicle. Want to keep the miles somewhat low on the Maverick as I plan on keeping it for the long haul so it’s reserved for those Costco/Home Depot runs and the occasional road trips, or during really crappy winters.
This new LC (250 Series Prado, not the big flagship 300 Series that we don’t get here) sits between the 4Runner and Sequoia in size, it’s bigger than the BS and unlike the unibody BS the LC is still body-on-frame.
The next 4Runner should be the SUV version of the new Tacoma with most of the...
The last LC we got in 2021 (the big 200 Series) started at $85k. This new 250 Series LC starting at mid $50k isn’t too unreasonable given that the average new car prices are now in the $40k and above range.
I thought the Maverick would’ve been a smaller truck in the vein of the 80s compact trucks, like my Dad’s 85 Nissan 720 King Cab pickup or his last truck a 93 Ranger regular cab/short bed.
An interesting observation. The day I got the Mav home, parked it next to our 04 Grand Cherokee WJ and...
It’s got a bit of padding and the material is pretty similar to the Lariat seats. Time will tell on how they’ll hold up but I’m liking these covers a lot.
Wish they had other color combo options especially for the XLT but black will do.
