I partly agree with you, the smaller dealers should be more forthcoming with the fact that they in general KNOW their allocations and how many orders they have. They should tell customers, hey, here's our situation, you might want to consider going to another dealer but they probably figure they...
It's hearsay and nothing in writing so we're taking this kid's word for it. He says some pretty off things in his video regarding a "$1500 dealer fee" when clearly he's referring to the delivery/freight charge so right off the bat I know that he's uninformed. I just don't go away from that video...
With the Bronco orders that have been carried over they were price protected by Ford so I wouldn't worry about it. I have a Bronco order in and was told to expect 2 years for a production date so I was also concerned about it.
Ehh, I don't agree with your assessment, the potential buyer was naïve like I said. I dislike dealerships just as much as anyone but the dealer didn't do anything wrong and it's a he said he said scenario so who knows what really happened or took place. Tim Bartz didn't even have to address it...
haha, tarnished reputation? hardly, Tim Bartz does more for the Maverick community than anyone else. That kid was just young and naïve and probably didn't relay the exact scenario and hopefully learned a valuable lesson. Caveat emptor and always find out ALL the details before making an...
I really doubt Ford cares about your hurt feelings. I mean, it's pretty much common sense that we're in a pandemic and as a result there are major supply chain issues and they make their sales assumptions based on best case scenarios to hopefully maximize profits. I think anyone with an ounce of...
Here's the thing, people are paying $10k over for used Mavericks. Why shouldn't it be "reasonable" to expect the same markup on a new Maverick? I personally think a dealer asking 10k over on a new dealer stock maverick is reasonable. Would I pay it? Hell no, would I pay MSRP for a loaded Lariat...
When did Ford say it was a no-no? They said marking up special orders was a no-no but dealer stock and abandoned orders? Sorry but the dealer OWNS those so they can do what they want. I don't blame them for marking up, if I sold a commodity that was hard to get and in short supply I would mark...
Yeah, your info is incorrect, it can be changed but not if your dealer is lazy and doesn't want to be bothered with the legwork that needs to be done to change it.
And disregard their allocation system? It's how their business thrives.........I know it's a tough pill to swallow for some of you who ordered from small dealerships but your small dealer should have been the one to tell you that you're far out on their order list and they only expect to get X...
Which is still not true. Sorry but many of the more veteran members here are very well versed. The OP could have spent some time reading, maybe listening to Tim Bartz videos and would have been informed enough not to post his garbage hearsay as "fact" but instead they chose to perpetuate rumor...
Not nearly as reliable. Ford updated the 2.0 ecoboost recently to try and tackle the block/coolant issues that have plagued it in the past. Who knows if it makes a difference in the long term.
I don't know if I'd consider the almost 80k that will most likely be produced as "so few". Consider that to this point they've already made roughly 35,000 Mavericks, most owners aren't members here
The 2.5 hybrid powertrain is super reliable and has withstood the test of time since it's been around for a while. I feel that this is a software issue with some sensors and fueling in very very cold weather scenarios. I'm sure Ford will figure it out. Even with the remote start issue I would...
