  1. [Dealer Memo] Not all 2022 Mavericks will be built. Update on Maverick Retail Order Scheduling, Customer Options and Order Amendment

Ford gave price protection to people who ordered a Bronco and got carried over to the next model year, I don't see why they wouldn't do the same and Tim Bartz even seems to think they will give you price protection.
  2. Long McArthur $7500 over MSRP on XL Maverick

LOL more ridiculous arguments. Take an economics course, please. There are plenty of people out there who WANT a Maverick who seemingly don't think twice about paying a 10k ADM on a Maverick. Do you whine when you get outbid on something on ebay too? Why should a dealer sell you something for...
  3. Long McArthur $7500 over MSRP on XL Maverick

Some of you need to take a lesson in economics.
  4. Does anybody know what this is I found it in the driveway behind my maverick

That's not a bumper for the tailgate? Check the top of the tailgate bed area, not on the actual tailgate but what it closes against. I'm pretty sure that's where it goes and I don't even have a Maverick
  5. Long McArthur $7500 over MSRP on XL Maverick

You ever hear the expression beggars can't be choosers? Are people trying to buy homes right now going to sue someone because they can't afford a house in the market they want to be in? Sorry, a truck is not a necessity and your argument is ridiculous.
  6. Long McArthur $7500 over MSRP on XL Maverick

You should hire a lawyer on retainer and sue the dealerships, let's see how that works out for you.
  7. Long McArthur $7500 over MSRP on XL Maverick

You don't HAVE to buy a Ford Maverick, plenty of other viable options out there. Sorry but a very specific car is not a necessity. Being in an emergency situation and at the same time being picky about HAVING to have one of the most in demand vehicles in the country is just plain idiotic.
  8. Long McArthur $7500 over MSRP on XL Maverick

Exactly, just about every one of Tim's videos I've seen he clearly states that they charge an ADM for dealer stock and abandoned special orders. This kid has no excuse, it's his own fault and nobody else's.
  9. Long McArthur $7500 over MSRP on XL Maverick

I'm going to give you the legal definition of price gouging. Are you ready for this?? Price gouging refers to when retailers and others take advantage of spikes in demand by charging exorbitant prices for necessities, often after a natural disaster or other state of emergency. You justify to...
  10. Long McArthur $7500 over MSRP on XL Maverick

This exactly, how can you blame the dealers when someone is more than willing to pay??
  11. Long McArthur $7500 over MSRP on XL Maverick

Like I said, there is no proof either way. How are you going to sit there and say the salesman did something wrong when you have no proof. I really hope you're not a cop/lawyer or judge.
  12. Long McArthur $7500 over MSRP on XL Maverick

He's the CEO of a for profit publicly traded company. He's going to say whatever is required to keep the share prices in a good position. His duty is to the shareholders.
  13. Long McArthur $7500 over MSRP on XL Maverick

Since when has a verbal agreement meant squat in any sales situation? Like I said it's hearsay and we have no proof either way, I don't believe it for one bit.
  14. Long McArthur $7500 over MSRP on XL Maverick

haha, stroll into a dealer and try to buy arguably the hottest most in demand most cost sensible vehicle on the market right now. SMDH at these people
  15. [Dealer Memo] Not all 2022 Mavericks will be built. Update on Maverick Retail Order Scheduling, Customer Options and Order Amendment

The good news for you is that Ford will most likely give you price protection like they have with Bronco orders.
  16. Long McArthur $7500 over MSRP on XL Maverick

Yes, I defend companies that are trying to make a profit. You call it greed, I call it supply and demand. It is what it is. People are willing to pay 10k over MSRP for a base bare bones Maverick, why would a dealer sell it to you for MSRP? I run a side business and although I provide services...
  17. Long McArthur $7500 over MSRP on XL Maverick

Where does that end? The dealer did their own damage control to make sure no more speculative and accusatory videos get posted. It wasn't to protect the customer, it was to protect their reputation from seemingly baseless accusations. You claim it as an admission of guilt when really it's to...
  18. Conversation today with Ford and my dealer (not good)

The problem with this is that they would potentially be limiting "their" customers. The dealer's are Ford's customers not really you as a buyer. The dealers buy the cars and parts from Ford and then sell them to you at a markup. I don't think Ford wants the mess of telling "their" customers...
  19. I wonder what changes 2023 will bring

What? As they're asking customers to delete their 360 option?? 😂 If anything the 360 package will change to a bunch of polaroid cameras mounted on the truck with strings attached to them and leading back to the driver's seat.
