I think you're making an assumption here. You don't know the circumstances. Who's to say the customer couldn't get financed or just flat out gave up their order? How many people have we seen here who have went from wanting a hybrid Maverick and then lashing out saying they couldn't wait anymore...
No offense but no buy? It's not a customer order that they're screwing over the original person. The sad fact is that customers ARE paying this much. I just watched someone buy a bare bones XL off of ebay for over $32,000.00
I think this thread is off base, what do you expect? Has anyone ever...
I think you see it how you want but in reality you're purchasing from your dealership, not Ford. If you bring a check to pay for your Maverick it's going to be made out to the dealership, not Ford. You technically didn't order it from Ford, you placed a reservation through Ford which is being...
You could probably find a shop to polish and clearcoat them for you for a minimal amount. You'd get professional quality and the clear coat would give you protection from oxidizing.
You have to understand that "you" really aren't Ford's customer. Ford sells the vehicles to the dealership then the dealership sells them to you. Ford is just rewarding their best "customers", aka, the larger dealerships. I'm not going to sit here and pretend that I know any better than Ford...
I don't think this is outside the realm of possibilities. Every time I see a post from someone who says they "cancelled" their order I think to myself wow, that dealer must have absolutely loved that phone call/email. For every person that cancels their order there are probably ten people...
Interesting at 3-4 per month with about 70 orders this seems to be significantly off from a dealer like Long McArther who gets 30 per month and has over 300 outstanding orders. Other members here (one specifically) seems to believe that allocation as a percentage is the same between large and...
There's no reality in your original post. Just speculation. I suggest looking up the definition of "reality" and stop spreading speculation as fact. Also, the "reality" is that there are something like 10,000 registered members here, about half of which have reported their order info so based on...
You're such a cliche. Wet Okole has sold hundreds of thousands of those seat covers. Find me an instance on the internet of a seat airbag not deploying due to them and I'll buy you a donut. Also, I think there's as much of a chance of you having a PhD in any discipline of engineering as there is...
There's a thread here that details adding the power lock actuator and wiring harness for factory power locking tailgate integration on the XL. With new parts from Ford you could do it for under $150, if you can get the actuator used from a Ranger salvage yard and spend $60 on the wiring harness...
I think this looks great, fits in with the mini-truck theme. To me the unibody "truck" looks silly lifted up, especially with the rear wheel being so far forward in the wheel well due to the trailing arm limitations.
These seat covers have been around as long as seat airbags. I doubt a company selling a faulty product would still be around in this litigious society we live in.
This is for the genius above who likes making baseless claims
