I'm not sure how well it would go against your HPR, it might clash. But if you like clashing color schemes (or if it doesn't clash) I say go for it. Your truck, your aesthetic. 🤠
I can't correct you with hard evidence, but my gut feeling is the hotspot feature and wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay were separate subsystems. I could be wrong (as well), but I wouldn't expect AA/ACP to work through the hotspot feature.
As mentioned by these posts, WiFi is used for most of the heavy lifting of data transfer with Android Auto.
But you won't have to setup the WiFi connection yourself. During setup once you connect your phone to the wireless Android Auto device (either built into the car's head unit, or through...
Sorry, lost track of this thread for a follow up. Here is what the orange looks like on Atlas Blue.
And with my current daily configuration:
For cost reference, my local (Wilmington, DE area) Line-X charged me $848.72. No tax because of DE.
If you don't have any spare foam or carpet remnants available, something I've found that works well for similar applications (I haven't tried this application yet) are dollar-store door mats.
Actually... :geek: The tape in question was originally called "duck tape" because the fabric portion of it was a specific weave of cotton called "cotton duck".
Thank you for providing me my daily opportunity to wave my pedantic flag. :ROFLMAO:
"If it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck
And there's duck-do on your pick-up truck
Buddy you can bet your bottom buck
It ain't no armadillo"

If you turn them 90°, would you be able to fit 4 in the back?
For those of us who aren't blessed to have a Menards in driving distance, I found a similar sized bin at Home Depot:

BTW, I did look at...
An alternate to Goo Be Gone (might also be less expensive, I haven't price compared) that is especially useful removing adhesive from food-touching items: cooking oil. The non-polar nature of cooking oil works well to remove non-polar adhesives. Takes a little more elbow grease than the...
Unfortunately not at all. I just haven't gotten around to complaining to the seller.
This picture is at night with the truck off. The illumination is the flash from my camera phone. The retroreflectors in the tail-lights are really bright, the letters not at all.
I'm considering trying to...
Yes to this. My wife discovered this with the original mats out of her Focus.
I had gotten her a set of 3D Max Kagu floor liners last Christmas as a way to check out if I wanted them for my (at the time undelivered) Mav. Now she has two spare carpeted mats from my Mav after I put my own 3D Max...
The letters that I got (raised plastic letters) used pre-applied tape with the red backing. Not sure which brand. Pretty sure it was a 3M knock-off since there weren't 3M logos all over the red backing.
Not sure what the flat vinal letters use, but most of the install videos that I've seen...
You remind me of my Mom. About the only requests for help that she asks of me is either computer stuff or, as my father (RIP) would say, "strong back, weak mind" work that really requires 2 people. Thank you to all the women out there, and a big FU to all the people who don't think women can get...
Of course, while writing the above I remember rolling and stashing the rope. But I don't remember folding up the tarp. Me thinks that I need a new tarp. 😢
My Mav is the first truck that I've owned. For the past 30+ years of driving when ever I've needed a truck I've had to borrow one from friends or family. But, this weekend after doing some yard work I was able to use my own vehicle (without relying on others) to run the yard waste to the local...
If you are recording the event, you may also want to think about popping the hood when that is happening to see (and video if it is) if the engine is actually rocking on the engine mounts.
I also had to drill new holes to get all 4 fasteners installed. But other than that I'm pleased with the Bugflector II. Even though it is raised from the hood, I can just barely see it from the driver's seat. No visual obstruction from my driving position.
