Personally, I like the gentle chiming sound. Unfortunately, the sound seems to be loudest from the front, the opposite end for safety when backing up.
Makes me wonder about the viability of an add-on product that pipes or duplicates the sound of the under the hood speaker to the back. A high...
I agree with @commadorebob that for a purely functional aspect there is very little need for running boards (or the tubular variants that have a different, pejorative seeming name that I can't think of off the top of my head). Unless you have a rack on the roof, then you could have people...
Yeah, such is the cross we have to buy with American vehicles. I agree that adding turn signal functionality to the brake lights is something that should never have happened. This video pretty much echoes my sentiment on the topic...
I've noticed in my Mav that if I try to switch to ECO mode on startup if I don't clear all the nested "OK" windows (the three that I can think of that I most often see are "Ready to Drive", seatbelt indicator, and parking break off) it takes me 5 presses of the drive mode button. But if I clear...
I got the L-Track cargo management rails from @Maverick2112 installed over the weekend. Looks good, but I need practice clipping the rings in blind while reaching over the side of the bed. Took me several tries until I got it, just need to learn the muscle memory. ;)
If there is any gap between the bottom of the tailgate liner and the bottom of the tailgate, taping it will be applying a constant spring-load up on the tape. I don't know if the tape will be able to resist that spring force long term. It might be better to caulk that edge/gap with a silicone...
I must be in the minority. I live in DE and the front plate isn't required. But... I wanted the front plate holder. My dealer didn't install it right there, and I didn't want to wait for them to install it since I was running late to a dinner get together with friends on the day I picked it up...
This is my best mileage for my commute so far (yes, I don't live far from work). I'm usually between 35 and 45mpg.
This is an outlier so far as I learn how to drive a hybrid.
I just ordered one. According to the product page there are only 5 left in stock.
I have an aftermarket floor liner (3D MAXpider Kagu) in the back that goes over the hump. It's fairly thin so hopefully the trashcan will still fit.
I put the Klutchtech hoot struts on my Mav. (Same reason to choose this brand vs all the others as the reasoning for the tailgate damper... Those "Maverick" decals.) Opens nice and wide, and I don't have to work around the support stick. (I never took the support stick out just incase the hood...
I got the Klutchtech tail gate dampers and am very pleased with them. Looks very similar to the DeeZee dampers, but the shock body doesn't have any printing. It came packaged with a "Maverick" transfer. Unfortunately, I didn't get the transfer on exactly true and straight. But it's close enough...
I PM'ed the @Realtruck account here with a list of items that were on their online webstore, the EGR in-channel window visors (smoke for me) were in the list. Everything on my list got a MTC discount. I got $14 off (18%) on the window visors. Once I provided him with first and last name, email...
I'm not sure about the model that you linked since your profile shows (like mine) that you have a hybrid.
In fact, the product page for the f150leds unit says: "NOTE: HUD unit will not function while the truck is in hybrid/electric mode."
An idea I had for Mythbusters that I never got around to suggesting to them was to test the fuel efficiency of cruise control in different driving conditions. My anecdotal experience seemed to indicate that I got better fuel economy on cruise control, especially on long highway drives, than...
I visited the Green Valley several years ago for work. I was working on the ANITA array at the visitor's center of Fred Lawrence Whipple Observatory at the base of Mt. Hoskins. While working there I stayed in the astronomer's lodging up on Mt. Hoskins. This was during the monsoon season (when...
An idea that might work for you is to upload the video to YouTube and then post the link here. If you aren't sure how to do that, ask the grandkids.
Your color scheme is perfect. I like the subtleness of the carbon-fiber wording against the black. And your theme rocks (in a chill mellow way).
