  1. Active Powered "All-N-One" Subwoofers

I believe the Ford ACM filters out bass below 80 Hz (later read the filter is set at 250Hz and below), at least I think I read somewhere, which is not a big issue for me. But that is one reason to by the DS18 V5HL 5-Channel Line Out Converter, High-Level Speaker Signal to Low-Level RCA Adapter...
  2. Source for fuses (nice assortment / options / choices)

There are some fuses marked spare already in the Maverick in case of an emergency. I blew one on the main underhand fuse block and found an unused spare to swap it out until I purchased spares of the differing types used on the Maverick.
  3. Those santa cruz owners at it again

    I agree...🤮
  4. BIG change in Gas Milage MPG after 4K miles w/ 2.0L EcoBoost

That's great mileage. I've just a little over 2000 miles on my 6 month old XL and I typically get 30-31 mpg on highway trips and right now I'm averaging 25.5 mpg on all the miles I've driven. Both are certainly acceptable, but I would love to get the type of mileage you are.
  5. Active Powered "All-N-One" Subwoofers

I know what you mean as I would love to have a Kicker Key 200.4 amp with a nice powered sub. But, the costs are more than I want to spend after upgrading and replacing the stock speakers. I would prefer to spend the money on the speaker replacement and consider several options. There are so many...
  6. Active Powered "All-N-One" Subwoofers

Great points and reasonable questions. I've reviewed most of these and really like the smaller form factor of some of the 8" and the so called 6 x 8. I've been intrigued by the Blaupunkt GTHS81, Rockville RW68CA, DS18 BASS68 6X8", or other 6" x 8" powered subs. I will either need speaker...
  7. What option would you want that wasn’t offered

I love the looks of the XL interior, just wish it wasn't so easily scratched.
  8. 🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

    Really nice looking Ranger.
  9. SnyperX's Stereo Upgrade Thread

Thanks for the info and photos. Seeing things in a photo eliminate misunderstandings and how they work, especially when we take things apart that may not be intuitive for some of us. I'm still considering and researching speakers and like the sound of Kenwood, JBL, and Infinity. Also looking at...
  10. Bronco Sport $825 wheel option -- Carbonized Gray-Painted Low Gloss Aluminum Wheel

I was just comparing Bronco Sport packages and ran across this option on the top of the line Badlands model. It surprised me but as a Maverick XL owner, the Carbonized Gray-Painted Low Gloss Aluminum Wheel looks good with the carbonized gray paint. Oh I know they are aluminum, but look very much...
  11. 🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

Yes, and I would be too if I wasn't so impatient and got the 2.0 because Ford was building them in October last year. I'm still fortunate and love my 2.0 XL, even though gas is $4.29 here, in 6 months I have only driven 2000 miles so it's not a big hit. You should be congratulated for being...
  12. Project QuikRik. My Velocity Blue XL AWD Performance build

Dueces, great post. Thanks for detailing your mods and the results. This information is extremely helpful. Can't wait to see your final results when you get through...but then do we ever really get through? Your comment about faster runs as it cools down at night reminds me of my old ET Drag...
  13. Have you tried Plumber's Putty instead of Clay Bar

Here is a video I watched today. Not that clay bar is expensive, but Plumber's Putty is dirt cheap. Have you tried it? Professional detailers, please let me know what you think?
  14. My humble review of my new Velocity Blue Maverick XL

Passed 2000 miles on my XL on yesterday's trip to the store. Haven't experienced any real issues, but received a warning when I started the truck yesterday telling me that my key fob battery needs replacing. Hmmmmmm...seems way too soon since I've had my XL for only 6 months and 7 days. Not...
  15. 🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

Great looking job and some creative ideas maximizing leftover wood. Thanks for stimulating my mind a bit.
  16. Added carbon fiber matte wrap to the hood and roof + plus tint!

Nice looking job and there's a nice contrast between the matte carbon fiber and the carbon gray paint finish. I'm thinking that the contrast would be great on a velocity blue finish as well. With the carbon fiber hood and roof, tailgate letters, it opens up all kinds of possibilities for other...
  17. Don't ruin it for the old guys!

Thank you for the details. I raced a 65 Dart 273 and a 65 Valiant Slant Six with a partial dealership sponsor in NW Arkansas. Both did well in NHRA stock classes. The dealership also raced a '57 Plymouth station wagon called WillieGoNoMo which was a fun car to play with at the drag strip. I do...
  18. Interior scratch/damage

I had a new 2006 F-150 King Ranch and I religiously treated the leather with King Ranch branded leather protectorate. Unfortunately, the leather scratched very easily. My first scratch I was shocked and tried worked hard to blend it in. After a few scratches, I realized the King Ranch leather...
  19. Interior scratch/damage

I had a couple of scratches on the top of the dash where I laid the vent and controls panel while installing the SiriusXM Commander Touch. I was using Turtle Wax Spray & Wipe and it blended the scratch with the dash somewhat, but did not completely conceal it. I would be surprised if there were...
