  1. New Maverick Owner from Canada

Welcome, Rob. Hope you enjoy your Maverick!
  2. Would You Buy Your Maverick Again?

If had to replace my Maverick today, I think I'd buy a 2025 Mav with the same specs as my current hybrid plus (maybe) AWD. That's based on current pricing, which I think still represents good value relative to the market. The Maverick isn't perfect, but it suits me fine. I got over expecting...
  3. New XLT Hybrid Owner in Texas

Welcome! Nice truck! Lots of folks report the mileage improving somewhat after the ICE is broken in—that's been my experience. From your greeting ("Howdy y'all") I can see we share a common language. 🙂
  4. Rolling Roadblock

Certainly. To create it, I Googled "Gemini AI" on my phone to find the link and used the Web interface—I don't have the app installed. The prompt was along the lines of "Create an image showing 4 Ford Mavericks pick ups side by side on a highway in the colors and styles below. Lane 1 Alto Blue...
  5. Rolling Roadblock

Here's what Gemini AI came up with. Apparently it's not familiar with all the colors you mentioned, so it made up some of it's own.
  6. 🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

Allow me to post the 853rd load o' mulch picture in this thread.😉 Given that we also own two F-150s, I find myself using the Maverick for (light) hauling more than I expected. It's just so handy, economical, and fun to drive.
  7. Saying goodbye to my Mav. The good, the bad and the ugly of upgrading from a Maverick

I had a couple of earlier-generations Rangers and loved them. The current Ranger is a different beast but looks like a sensible, solid, capable truck. Enjoy!
  8. April 2025 - Maverick Sales & Production: 20,183 Sold / 16,027 Produced!

No doubt concerns about price increases stemming from changes to import policy caused companies and consumers to make purchases sooner rather than later in lots of sectors. See this story
  9. Fresh Off the Truck!

    Nice! Enjoy your new Mav!
  10. Hybrid Oil change Overfilled @ filter

If it were me, I'd partially back out the drain plug to drain off the excess(I know, it will make a mess), wait a few minutes and recheck the level. I also check again after backing off the ramps. I'm a better safe than sorry guy.
  11. Hi Ford, This is Chevy

And the styling looks sorta like a Santa Cruz. That is not meant as a compliment.
  12. SLATE Truck Debut! Convertible From Pickup to SUV. Priced Under $20K With Federal Incentive

My understanding is that the small speedometer/instrument cluster screen is also used to display the back up camera output . The Slate wouldn't meet my current needs, but I bet it will appeal to a lot of people. My opinion is that EVs in all sorts of sizes and configurations will become a...
  13. Trailer Hitch Cover 3D Printed

Glen, I saw a photo you posted several months ago showing your hitch cover and liked it so much I ordered one like it. I only copy the best. 🙂
  14. Why didn’t I figure this out sooner !!!

I can relate. My parents gave a set of ramps (also > 50 years ago) that I still use - used them to change the oil in my Maverick last week. Also have some tools that belonged to my dad and father in law. Prized possessions.
  15. Thinking about swapping out the 2.0 with...

Looks like it should slip right in with minimal mods needed 😗
  16. camera recall

Had the recall done yesterday on my '24 XLT hybrid. Took about an hour. I don't notice any difference in screen brightness or infotainment system performance so far. Even before the recall service, I never noticed any backup camera problems, the screen brightness seemed fine, and even using...
  17. camera recall

That's been my experience, too. My preferred dealer fits that description (plus it's a family-run business), and I've always felt that they treat me fairly, even as service managers and sales personnel have come and gone, and management has passed to a new generation.
  18. What is it? Any ideas?

Well, that explains this notice on FordPass: Campaign/NHTSA# 24S69/24V686 Issue Date 2001-09-13 Description On your vehicle, it may be possible for pod bay doors to fail to open when requested. Safety Risk This may result in depletion of self-contained oxygen supply, possibly leading to loss...
  19. Took My FWD Maverick Through McKendree Road, WV — Yes, Seriously.

I haven't driven McKendree Road, but I'm somewhat familiar with the area (having kayaked the New River Gorge, as well as sections of the Gauley, Cheat, Tygart, Cranberry, etc. years ago), and I'm duly impressed. Wild wonderful West Virginia is more than just a slogan. Really beautiful country.
  20. I own a truck! Hybrid Lariat Azure Gray

Nice! My favorite color. Enjoy your Maverick.
