  1. Door Mount Rearview Mirros

I don't know if the mirror mounts on the 2025 are in fact different from earlier years (or if the Amazon listing simply hasn't been updated), but they sure look alike in the pictures. If I were in the OP's situation I'd probably risk $16 to find out if they work.
  2. Improved the ugly front end on 2026 Maverick XLT w/ black wrap on 2025+ facelift bumper

When I saw the first images of the '25 front end, I really thought an applique like this to de-emphasize the "tabs" would be popular. But in person the fascia looks much better than I thought it would, and I've totally gotten used to it; the center grille portion actually looks a little cleaner...
  3. Say IT isn't So

If you're a regular home compter user (email, websurfing, maybe light office application use) and don't specifically need to use something like Office 365, AutoCad, or Adobe Photoshop, my opinion is that you're better off with a user-friendly Linux distribution like Zorin or Linux Mint instead...
  4. Be Honest - have you ever driven with passengers in the rear seats?

I'm a little disappointed that no one who chose the third option ("I decline to answer on the grounds that I might incriminate myself") has provided a detailed explanation. Inquiring minds want to know. Law enforcement/the IRS/ your wife only monitor this forum occasionally.
  5. Be Honest - have you ever driven with passengers in the rear seats?

He looks like a good boy, but he's not really interested in taking any s**t from anybody. 🙂
  6. Be Honest - have you ever driven with passengers in the rear seats?

I've had a human passenger in the back exactly once in a year and a half of ownership. My buddy Joey occasionally rides in his crate buckled in the back seat, and has had no complaints so far.
  7. Portable jump starter

"Alien technology". Too bad the alternator belt is so hard to get to—probably just needs re-tensioning, or maybe some belt dressing. 🙄
  8. No more hate for the 2025 facelift's new front end design?

The new front end definitely looks better in person. Not as innovative as the alternate that was under consideration, though.
  9. Another Maverick down

Sorry to hear that. Hope everybody's ok.
  10. Terrible gas mileage!

    That's been my experience, too.
  11. Terrible gas mileage!

Ambient temperature, the mix of highway/city miles, and driving style all impact gas mileage. The last is the one most readily controlled by most people. While there are some hybrid-specific consderations to improving gas mileage, it mostly comes down common sense steps that apply to ICE...
  12. Black on Grey Letters

Looks good. Always best to defer to the CO.
  13. Car smells like smoke when I’m driving

If a new user with the handle "tldr" and a bad attitude shows up, it's probably him.
  14. 🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

Lumber run. For the trip home (23 miles on mostly rural primary and secondary roads) the reported gas mileage was just over 53 mpg, about 3x what my F-150 gets.
  15. Soon to be NEW Maverick Owner!

Congrats and welcome to the forum. I think you'll enjoy your Maverick and find it very useful. It works very well for hauling 4x8 sheet goods. Be aware if a project calls for MDF (for paint-grade cabinet door panels, for instance), the Maverick's tailgate opening doesn't handle the 49" panel...
  16. 2025 Tremor Upgrade (from 2024 Lariat): Key Reasons and Impressions

Looks great. I'm usually not a fan of white vehicles, but I saw a '25 in Space White the other day, and it's a very attractive color. Enjoy your Mav!
  17. Do you tow with your Maverick?

Only if one of the bike tires touches the ground while you're in motion. 😉
  18. Do you tow with your Maverick?

The hitch on my Maverick is still a virgin. We have one F-150 that's a dedicated tow vehicle for a two horse trailer, and I always use my 2011 F-150 work truck to pull my 10' utility trailer even though the Maverick would be perfectly capable.
  19. Do you tow with your Maverick?

In this article, Ford's Alan Clarke is quoted : "Less than 25% of Maverick owners have towed a single time in the life of the vehicle." Presumably the statement is based on telematic data, but I wonder if it reflects MTC members' usage.
  20. Got dissed at the Depot!

A funny thing to imagine saying: "8 feet?! Your wife said you're about 7' 10" short!" The right way to handle it: just the way the OP did.
