Unless you get the FX4 package, there is no place to mount a tow hook to the unibody. The Fx4 has an additional piece welded to the structure to attach the tow hooks.
I don't think your truck is going on NS. It is probably using Union Pacific until it gets to Illinois, then it will be sent by CSX. You should be able to track it using CSX entirely.
You should be able to track it using CSX. My Maverick is in GA waiting to be delivered to my dealer and I tracked it using CSX even though it started out on Union Pacific.
I wonder if yours is missing the Blue Oval name plate? Mine was built on 9/8 and shipped on 9/9. it arrived at the railyard in Atlanta last Friday & I'm hoping to get it next week.
That doesn't seem right. My truck was on the same rail car from Mexico to Georgia. Stop in at your dealership and get a copy of the VVR repor. That will have the rail car number on it
Once your truck ships, you can get the rail car number from the VVR report. Then call the railroads to get the location. There is a sticky in the ordering forum about tracking the train.
That is the route they take to Georgia. Mine shipped on 9/9 and that's the route it took. It will go through Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee and then end up in Lawrenceville, GA to be trucked to your dealer.
I hope mine does. I have to pay taxes on the sales amount at the time of purchase. A rebate paid 4 months later can't be used to reduce the taxes paid as well as making my loan payments that much higher.
