The first time I purchased an extended warranty was in 2022 for the Stinger. Vehicles have become way more complicated—full of cameras, electronics, screens, AI features—you name it. If one thing goes wrong, it could cost you hundreds, probably thousands. So why not spend $3K on an extended...
Oh, did you mean the lighted emblem?
No, I placed an order on 12/25. Then, later that day, I received a backorder notification.
It was stuck in "Processing" status until today. Yesterday, I contacted Ford Parts support and asked why it wasn't moving for 3 weeks. I was given a case number, and...
You are living in a wrong century then. Sorry. You probably are the first person I talked to who does not care about auto safety. For me, and I hope for most people, safety is way more important than comfort, reliability and simplicity (combined).
I loved my 2012 Subaru Legacy auto temperature control. It had 2 modes: "Auto" and "Full Auto" - the latter adjusted speed and direction of air flow as well.
Exactly.
Originally, my better half and I decided to get a Rivian R1T, we already owned a Tesla and loved the idea of going full-EV. We hoped for the charging infrastructure here in Minnesota to keep up, like it did in California, but that never happened. And we like to take longer trips. For...
No more phone holder, finally.
I am placing mine on the wireless charging pad, or, when I don't need to charge it, on the phone holder which is right of the wireless charging pad.
How long had that debate "film or digital?" lasted after digital cameras had become widely available on the market? I think about 5 years or so, before the "film" people made peace with it.
I anticipate the "mechanical or on-screen?" one to last about that long.
And the 2000s one doesn't. 😁
Let's revisit this in 5 years. I bet there will be no going back to the excessive number of mechanical controls, but we'll see. Progress cannot be stopped, it's our choice to learn and adapt, or to cling to the past. There is no going back to manual transmissions...
You know, I went through all these stages (and probably most of other people here).
Checking the status several times a day, "Why is it stuck in In Production?" Texting my sales guy with "Where is it now on your VIN View?" at least twice a week. And then one day it was here. 🙂
I actually think it is.
One HUGE advantage is integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Tesla proprietary navigation system is horrible - it's the only thing I really dislike in that car.
Exactly! I own a 2025 Lariat (loving it!) and a Tesla Model 3 (loving it!). Compared to the latter, the Maverick has a lot of buttons! 🤭 IMO, the Lariat has just the right amount of mechanical controls. Having less buttons might take some getting used to, but learning new things protects us from...
