I have a hard rollup cover, it is actually more watertight than I expected. Due to the fact that there is no gap between the bed and cab, and the front lip is a bit lower than the side rails it will probably leak at the front. My leakage has been limited to the corners though, and the water just...
Mine has them, they seem to work well and they are a great help in the cold weather. They cover both the radiator and intercooler. My only concern is if they could freeze up with a heavy accumulation of slush and cause overheating, but so far they have been working perfectly.
Add in that the frontal area of that camper probably exceeds Fords specs this is just too much camper. It is at the limit at the dry weight, you need to be looking for something less than 3,000 lbs.
Wow - that's messed up if they won't give you a loaner when you lose driving ability and have to keep it for that long to repair it for something that is obviously a fault in the vehicle that could not have been caused by you.
I am in Minnesota and am plenty warm when it is below zero, if you are chilly in South Florida there must be something wrong! Is the temp gauge getting into the normal range? If not it could be the engine thermostat. If it is, there is something preventing the heat from getting into the cabin...
Yeah, coming into the coldest month of the year it would be very nice to have. I checked with my dealer a couple months ago, they dont have an ETA yet on the parts.
It holds the transmission in lower gears, and gives you engine braking . I use it when I am driving slowly through a neighborhood full of kids or a parking lot. It can be useful on hills.

I kinda like the battery saver feature, why not shut down things that drain the battery if it isn't being used for a while? I wish there was a way to manually activate it if I am going out of town for a few weeks.
I second the Aliner, easy to set up and you get the safety and privacy of a hardside without the wind resistance. There are many floor plans, and Forest river also makes them. Just dont forget to add the weight of all the stuff you will put in it.
Thanks for sharing, I see why you did it, but I personally prefer the black. I do like the amber reflectors in the fender vents, do they light up, and did you make them yourself?
Congrats on the new truck! Be aware if you do the tailgate assist you will lose one of the handy tiedown/bottle openers on the tailgate. There is a member here who fabricates a replacement though.
I added the Maybett storage box that fits just ahead of the armrest, my wife likes to toss her...
