  1. Maverick work truck spotted!

Prediction: AutoZone, Advance, NAPA and O'Reilly will buy, or lease, thousands of Mavericks for delivery vehicles.
  2. Hybrid for predominantly highway driving?

This whole hybrid thing is new to me, as I never thought I would be in the market for one. It appears that another cost savings of having a hybrid is less maintenance. As I understand it, brakes last longer on hybrids and oil changes are less frequent. Over time, the savings could add up. I...
  3. Koons Woodbridge Ford 4% below invoice on Forum Orders. Woodbridge VA.

This could be very interesting. If it actually happens...
  4. Koons Woodbridge Ford 4% below invoice on Forum Orders. Woodbridge VA.

You bring up an interesting point. Maybe we have a math wiz on here that could show us the figures on a Lariat with every possible option (to include a more expensive color) at invoice minus the "discount." Then add the $899 doc fee and see how much the actual savings are (if any).
  5. Koons Woodbridge Ford 4% below invoice on Forum Orders. Woodbridge VA.

If he throws in a complementary Koons Ford ball point pen, I'm in. Hook, line and sinker....
  6. Ford strikes a deal to help end its chip shortage

Made in USA. Great example for others in the automotive industry.
  7. 2022 Ford Maverick XL/XLT Co-Pilot360 in action

    Great video on YouTube:
  8. Painted my Maverick

When you can't decide on what color to get...
  9. Maverick Specialist: Hybrid EPA Certification is 'In', Spray In Liner Confirmation and 'The Queue'

Tim has provided a great deal of good information to the Maverick "community." Admin fees or ADMs are not his call. The owner, general manager and sales manager dictate pricing. I don't like the additional costs either, but Tim has his marching orders.
  10. What color hides road dirt and dust the best?

    I agree. Carbonized gray.
  11. My 2.0 Lariat Luxury sitting in a rail yard.

If this is an added quality control measure, I would be all for it. Much easier to deal with an issue pre-delivery rather than post-delivery.
  12. Dodge ram 1000

Sort of an interesting little vehicle (not quite a truck). The fog lights and front parking sensors might be really useful. (Ford, are you reading this?) The model for El Salvador comes with a rack for your AR-15. You don't want to leave home without it...
  13. 40% Markup?

These gouges are self-inflicted. Part of the "gotta have it, gotta have it now" culture.
  14. My 2.0 Lariat Luxury sitting in a rail yard.

Very interesting. I was unaware of these terminals. Did a Google search and found a map of their locations. Huge operation. Thanks for posting.
  15. Velocity Blue Maverick Modified w/ Cab Marker Lights, Hood Scoop, Cab Roof Spoiler, Tailgate Spoiler, Black Tailgate Applique, Fender Flares

I actually like the clearance lights, but I'm not too keen on the idea of drilling holes in a brand new truck. Assuming that they are functional, I wonder how they are wired in. A night time photo would be great.
  16. Bed floor separation / gap from side of bed - normal or issue?

Ouch! This is really disappointing for you, I'm sure. Hopefully, it's an easy fix. Reminds me of a commercial paint contractor who told me that "a patch is a patch." Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
  17. Help with finding rear splash guards

Shouldn't have any problem getting a Ford dealer parts salesman to order the splash guards for you. Recently, I worked at a Ford dealership where the parts guys got paid a whopping $45.00 per day, plus commission. Obviously, any sale is important to them.
