The last brand new vehicle I bought was a Ford in 1982.
I always said that I would never buy a brand new vehicle again. This is based on financial reasons such as rapid depreciation, higher taxes and insurance premiums, etc.
The Ford Maverick has changed my long held opinion due to:
1. It's...
I read that it also excludes the hold back and advertising fee. I am hoping that someone who has actually completed a purchase will let us know how it went.
Excellent! I'm all for doing business with dealers like Chapman. Personal recommendations like yours can certainly help their numbers. Chapman appears to be an actual high volume dealer.
Any FoMoCo or Ford dealership employees bought a Maverick using the D Plan pricing?
Just curious as to the actual savings and if there were any "surprises" when it came time to settle up.
Also, can any other discounts apply, such as veteran, first responder, Mustang Club, Farm Bureau, etc.?
Sounds like she has her life together and very likely has a good plan for herself.
Get her the Maverick. It's economical, practical and safe (especially with the 360 option). Make sure you schedule some daddy/daughter time by throwing the fishing poles, camping gear or sports equipment in the...
A "friendly" salesman? That's nice, but I make it a policy not do business with friends.
What do you have in writing?
I hope they don't throw you some curve balls when it's time to settle up.

Multi-tool
Eye glass repair kit
Paracord
Medium size Swiss army knife
Poncho with liner
Hothands warmers
Latex gloves
Extra large plastic leaf bag with twist tie
Reflective vest

First place finish 795.00
Synchronize at 699.00
Secure Etch 299.00
I imagine most buyers just go along with it because it's "mandatory."
I agree. The hybrid is the perfect vehicle for older folks. Inexpensive, compared to just about anything on the market. Super gas mileage. Low maintenance. Great safety features, especially with the 360 option. I suspect that many will happily spend $25k of disposable funds for a vehicle that...
It appears that you are correct. I would like to see two more examples. The first being a bare bones XL hybrid, and the other, an XLT hybrid with a couple of the most popular options (maybe trailer hitch and 360). That would paint a much clearer picture of what's being offered.
Yes, this may be the perfect vehicle for Uber and utility locators.
To a lesser degree, it may replace the Ford Ranger as being commonly used as a pilot car for escorting oversize loads.
As much as I don't care for them (on more than one level), unless I was 100% certain that they can be removed without a trace, I would just learn to live with it.
