When I was looking for alternative used vehicles to hold me over till I got my Mav, I looked at Avalanches and the amount of high (250k+) mileage were impressive. Those things must be tanks... but the mpg suuuuuuuucked.
Hell, if any are, I'll preorder a Lightning from them once those orders open up again, fully expecting it to be 4-5 years before I get it. :p (kidding, but still curious. I wonder if dealers will offer bottom line preorder prices (and make minimal $$ off those trucks) just to maximize their...
If this turns out to be the case, then picking a good, honest dealer who will help you find the best incentives and WON'T try to jack the price up on you will become even more important.
I'm guessing we won't see our incentive/discount until they announce '23 model pricing. Anyone know when...
Good point. I mean they HAVE to be prioritizing the first edition orders, right? Those guys could potentially be VERY upset if they get rolled to a 23.
Spoke to my dealer. They don't have much more info, but what I was told is
They suspect Ford's going to provide an incentive/discount to preorders = to the difference between order price and same kit '23 @ 8/22 (which would mean custom discounts depending on your order specs and date), and then...
Forwarded it to my dealer and basically asked if they have any more info that isn't in the email. They thanked me for not blowing up at them and asked me to call. If they have any details, I'll pass them on.
The price
No, but an unverified and likely erroneous one will leak before then
It will be a free ford maverick hot wheels included with full '23 sticker price (plus 10k dealer markup) purchase.
Funny last couple weeks I've just started thinking yeah they probably won't get me in to a 22 I'm guessing they'll force me into a 23 and I got this email. I'm hoping we get a pretty good deal on the 23s because of this, be nice if I can get the 22 base price plus price on all the upgrades when...
I know a guy who works at a Nissan dealership.
They have seven new vehicles TOTAL on their lot. I see Ford dealerships around here getting (and selling for a huge markup) 2-5 Mavericks a week. Ford is screwing the customer to keep favored/big dealers happy.
Orders from JULY still undelivered is...
Wait... Fully autonomous driving? What f150 has that? Tesla's don't even have that. It doesn't exist and won't for AT LEAST ten years. Or is another BS "full self driving" like Tesla's that'll make a choppy turn in perfect conditions 90% of the time and try like hell to end some poor cyclists...
Significant downhill does affect mileage a surprising amount. Driving down from the mts in PA to the Philly area I would regularly break 38-40mpg avg for the trip in a Kia Soul (rated 28mpg iirc, and I avged about 33 in normal driving).
Maybe they faked a bunch of orders with people whose info they had before ordering wrapped up and now they need buyers to dodge to 75% requirement? Or they just want to try the hard to sell you on the awd they stole from someone?
