  1. Who needs a hybrid anyways?!

I forgot to mention the fact that you can't have survived the winter snows without AWD.
  2. Who needs a hybrid anyways?!

Wait, you've had a hybrid and it's been reliable? But all the news on the forums says that you should have caught fire while rear ending someone because of the grabby brakes and the had shrapnel thrown at your face from the defective airbags....how can you truck be reliable?!?
  3. Who needs a hybrid anyways?!

You owned a hybrid and it wasn't reliable?
  4. Who needs a hybrid anyways?!

I get that without trying...on a 107° day....while driving like a bat outta hell...in city traffic. I love my hybrid, thank you.
  5. new tires

I can. Although, I'm not sure it'll be much more than anecdotal. I just had the power cable recall done. Wouldn't surprise me if that gets slightly less mpg. That and it's been 107 every day for the last couple weeks. (The battery doesn't charge well when it's that hot)
  6. new tires

I think it fills out the wheel wells nicer than stock. I think the word, for look and feel, is substantial.

  8. new tires

I agree, they wore quickly. I did not purchase warranty on tires. 35psi

Defender 2(released in 2022) have an 80k warranty
  10. new tires

BTW, I had one of the four continentals that was newer with plenty of tread left. I had a nail in the sidewall, so put on a new one. I had them fit the new one to a steel rim and now have an (actual) full size spare. 👍👍
  11. new tires

Factory tires were getting bald (at 22k!). Got, upon MTC recommendation, Michelin Defender 2's in 235/65/R17. I like this size much better. Road noise seems lower in pitch. Most road noise at highway speed is wind. So far, so good.
  12. completely wireless Android Auto

Its not a big inconvenience, however it does reduce wear on phone plug. However, however, it may increase wear on battery. To each their own. I'm not saying you have to do this, but I like that I did. 😁
  13. Hybrid Maverick Underbody / Undercarriage Video

I thought the heat transfer unit was for the HVAC heater?
  14. CSP 22B39: Hybrid Maverick No Start Condition issue affecting 21,513 vehicles (Customer Satisfaction Program / Delivery Hold)

The number of recalls stinks, however, this is one if the reasons I came back to Ford.... They're making it right.
  15. Anyone tried towing a car with a hybrid mav?

I think the limit is the limit for a reason. That said, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Also, the eCVT in the maverick is not a CVT. I don't think it's the weak point in this system. ( I suspect the battery is)
