Wait, you've had a hybrid and it's been reliable?
But all the news on the forums says that you should have caught fire while rear ending someone because of the grabby brakes and the had shrapnel thrown at your face from the defective airbags....how can you truck be reliable?!?
I can. Although, I'm not sure it'll be much more than anecdotal. I just had the power cable recall done. Wouldn't surprise me if that gets slightly less mpg. That and it's been 107 every day for the last couple weeks. (The battery doesn't charge well when it's that hot)
BTW, I had one of the four continentals that was newer with plenty of tread left. I had a nail in the sidewall, so put on a new one. I had them fit the new one to a steel rim and now have an (actual) full size spare. 👍👍
Factory tires were getting bald (at 22k!).
Got, upon MTC recommendation, Michelin Defender 2's in 235/65/R17.
I like this size much better. Road noise seems lower in pitch. Most road noise at highway speed is wind.
So far, so good.
Its not a big inconvenience, however it does reduce wear on phone plug. However, however, it may increase wear on battery. To each their own. I'm not saying you have to do this, but I like that I did. 😁
I think the limit is the limit for a reason. That said, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
Also, the eCVT in the maverick is not a CVT. I don't think it's the weak point in this system. ( I suspect the battery is)
