A Maverick Tremor and a F150 Raptor?
Which one do you drive more and how do you use them differently?
I sort of now view the Maverick Tremor as a Baby Raptor since the Ranger Raptor which is like a Raptor Junior.
Thanks Colinl, you definitely had me goin back to the drawing board to analyze this deeper.
My goal in this thought process is to maximize more of the performance that can be uncovered from the Lobo. I want that goldilocks set-up.
I'm open to understanding more about the ideal tire option...
I thought about the 245, but based on the overall set-up it will be too pinched on the factory rims. I'd have to get after market rims that are wider. Yes a 245 could fit, but it seems the performance gain would not be adequate. 235 will fit square on factory rims.
Well it's definitely not a 2025 model. And if my LOBO were to look like this, I might as well have gotten a Tremor. The ghost wolf pack is a nice touch as LOBO is wolf in Spanish.
The appearance is not the only thing. Switching to a wider tire (235) and reducing the aspect ratio to 40 will allow the LOBO to have more contact and less side wall roll, but not reduced so much that the tire can't support a load. Also, lowering one more inch will allow it to be more stable...
Is it really that simple to break lugnuts loose with a simple set of standard vice grips? There is very little leverage. I want to see it done with those torqued at 110 lbs.
I know what you mean. I don't want to purchase new tires when the stocks are still in good shape.
My next size I want to consider is a 235/40/19
It'll lower it about another inch and with the wider tire to be square on the factory rim it should be an added benefit to the LOBO.
Saw these -...
These are actually on my list to get. I figured it'd be cooler to have those and to act as a deterrent of theft (who has that long of a deep socket on the regular?) Also then not having to fumble around for that one off key lug when needed.
Oh, I get it. Beautiful truck. Here is a picture of the first Silver Bullet. Yes, that is a Coors Light tap handle on the fuel door.
Now I have SilverBullet2.0 and the name fits because of the engine size. Not gonna get too quirky with this one though.
Your reasoning is exactly why I switched from a 2013 F150 FX4 3.5 to a Maverick Lobo.
And you're right about the Ranger. Makes me also question why the Tacoma is so popular and GM relatively recent brought the Canyon & Colorado back. Oh, then the Nissan Frontier seemed to have stomped out the...
I agree. Cricuts are amazing for decals. Did my back window - tribute to Ken Block - RIP. I drive a LOBO and I think he would have figured out how to do something with it like he does.
I am shopping for tonneau covers. When reading through a description, this image was shown. Not sure what the R&D dept was thinking ... There is only one truck bed size for the Maverick, right?
