The eCVT transmission is multi-faceted and like no other. So you need to be more specific.
I have done similar tests.
Transmission OIL will stay about 145°F to 155°F WHILE TOWING Heavy and uphill.
There's no slippage. Just gears against gears.
Traction Motor Coil Temperature tracks pretty...
It will be fine.
Rule of thumb:
Don't keep the power meter above 50% for longer than 3 minutes without a 2 minute rest in between and this truck will pull anything you put behind it.
Just slow down a couple or 5 mph if you see the needle constantly above 50%.
Above 50% is fine for...
Well as others said, it's more of a cooling issue than a horsepower issue so probably no.
More horsepower makes EB a faster truck.
EB will overheat.... faster.
230°F MAY be 250°F towing significantly more.
You've not been here long enough to know that the first year, and into the second year there were supply chain shortages.
There were not enough hitches to meet demand. Some had to skip it or no truck at all.
Possible. But probably not.
It would / should return to normal after a while if you just overfilled.
If not, it's just a defect / malfunction / stuck valve.
If it were the evap canister you'd get a different warning / stored code.
Third set of tires at 48,000 miles????
I'm on the stock tires that came with the truck at 41,000 miles.
Unnerving to have a MPG drop but air conditioner use at a higher setting than before would do that in a heartbeat.
Do this as a rough test of HV battery capacity if you don't have an OBDII...
AND / Or They don't know how to program their OBDII scanners. Not their thing. I guess.
You get pretty much everything plug N play with a scangauge.
I've towed more than that, in temperatures hotter than that, the 2022 FWD just won't over-heat. As long as you have proper liquid in there, it...
Thanks for posting.
I'm not saying you did; but even IF you make a mistake typing and inverted those numbers, it's close enough for me to call it a tie. No difference.
40 PSI is 5 above the truck manufacturer's recommendation for an all season balance of comfort and performance in an unladen vehicle. And it is 10 below the tire manufacturer's recommendation for maximum pressure.
With a heavy load in the bed you need 40 psi to maintain the SAME contact patch...
I kinda/sorta put a load meter on my A/C yesterday. ( via OBDII )
First hot day (97°F) in a while.
Engine off - A/C on Fan to Highest - HV battery amps being drawn was 12.5 A at ~ 220 VDC
About 2,750 watts.
Took a while; a couple minutes at least to ramp up to that amount.
It confused me your nameplate said ecoboost but you pasted a page from the hybrid oil section, and you bought oil that "technically" goes with neither! But in "reality" will be fine for both for one time use. No need to throw it away or give it away. Since you got 20 instead of 30 for your...
A) That oil DOES meet Ford spec for quality
B) YOU purchased a jug of 5w-20. Your manual states 0w-20. That is the difference in the code.
You will be fine down to sub zero with what you have. No need to worry.
Wait... do you have a Hybrid or EcoBoost?
There are different pages in the book...
Thats odd.
Are you sure?
Mine is behind the lower grille.
Always in the shade.
Will pick up some blacktop heat standing still but is nuts on accurate when the vehicle is in motion.
