It was piece of cake adding a Tekonsha P3 brake controller I already had since 2008 or 2009 and move it from vehicle to vehicle.
To get a brake signal, I used the third center mounted brake lamp. Does not interfere with anything.
No special tools or circuits needed.
Keep it simple. Old...

I find these signs a hoot in Carson City, Nevada.
Entering a Roundabout from the west (EB):
Entering from the East (WB):
Told my wife those signs will kill people.
I think even my crayon version done in 5 minutes is better. Do you agree?
Seems this should be user definable in the settings menus if you dig deep enough. You could in the earlier ones.
Also on a factory new vehicle it helps to change all the settings max to min, on to off, etc. at least once.
Some electronics need to be initialized / rebooted or at least...
Sounds like a rip off.
If you want, I'll get the make model of mine.
at 15 years no oil changes
No filter changes
No top offs
No plug changes
I have worn the rubber off the wheels but it starts first pull every time.
🤔
Engine time lets say 10 hours a year.
So "about" 150 hours total.
I think...
Completely unrelated and pointless story.
I have a small lawn. About half a tennis court. I have a push behind gasoline mower. I've wanted an electric one for some time.
Deal with wife is, when the gasoline one dies, I can buy an electric one.
🤔
The lawn mower was given to me (by father in...
Liar.
Never happend.
Oh you're joking. 👍
There was a TV show a while back about barn finds or something.
Unopened metal oil cans from 50 something years ago were fine.
But of course the oil was quality and viscosity of the era. But fine for your 1955 John Deere.
Today, the scientists on the...

Gen 2 2.54 : 1. 2009-2012. Aisin HD-20
Gen 3 2.91 : 1. 2013-2021. Ford HF35

Gen 5 3.37 : 1. 2025- Ford HF55

I'd call the addition of AWD significant.
Final drive ratio a "small" but noteworthy change.
Gen 1 3.04 : 1
Gen 2 2.54 : 1
Gen 3 2.91 : 1
Gen 4 2.91 : 1
Gen 5 3.37 : 1
Betcha they all felt the same to the driver.
Two "new" motors is unconfirmed.
Someone with a ScanGauge in a 2025 could help...
Don't you mean it became a regular Prius Hybrid after the 11 miles?
I would not say "98% were gas only".
98% were HEV right?
PHEV for sure is a niche market.
Semantics. I guess you could say 100% of my Maverick's miles are gas only. But like half have gasoline being burned.
I do this every day:
Those with 2025's should be able to experimentally calculate like I did. Especially if your window sticker has a different drive ratio then you were expecting.
What else are you curious about?
Let me know.
Final Drive Ratio
Is that Engine to wheels?
60 MPH (+/-) indicated but imprecise.
Engine 2681 RPM
Generator 1898 but 3.54x gear ratio so subtract 536.
Engine net would otherwise be 2145.
2145/729 tire speed = 2.94 : 1
Experimentally close to the published 2.91 : 1
Another example:
Speed...
At 60 MPH the truck goes 1 mile in 1 minute.
The tires are 729 revolution per mile. So they spin 729 RPM at 60 MPH.
The Traction Motor spins 7500 RPM at 60 MPH.
Ratio is 7500/729 = 10.29 : 1
