Do you have Chamberlain's MyQ? I don't believe MyQ allows that and only an IFTTT automation can achieve something similar with MyQ. MyQ seems to try to be a hub itself (sadly) rather than connecting to an existing Homekit hub.
Yes, it happens when braking just as you described. I thought it might have been gas in the gas tank sloshing, but I don't think so.
Mine only has 3,000ish miles on it. I can't remember if the noise always happened.
I'm guessing it's re-engaging the traction control or has something to do...
