I did too back in 2022 when I ordered it originally. But a year later when hitches were STILL on the constraints list I took it off hoping I could do the same thing aftermarket for not much. Sadly I was wrong as currently there is only one on the market and wildly overpriced. Won’t be too much...
Yeah…saw those. Thought they were a little too much as they are rated at a higher tow capacity than the truck (hybrid), but may be the best (and only) choice.
I am a long way off from actually trailering anything with the Mav so I don’t need a Class III just yet, but I want to add the bed extender arm for hauling Kayaks. What is the best option for a receiver that will work for this accessory? Can I attach something to the bumper without worries for...
Is there any way to see what I ordered originally from Ford when I did the build? I am looking at the sticker and I could have sworn I ordered some accessories but they are not on there.
Finally got my XL hybrid yesterday. Originally ordered in September of 22. Got it at sticker then the rebate. They had 4 or 5 others on the lot, one since December that they dropped their ridiculous asking price back down to sticker. Mavs are cooling off it seems.
I ordered 2, both on the west coast of Florida. The one I ordered in September of 22, rolled over in July 23 and is scheduled to be built in February 24. The other I ordered in July of 23 is built and ready to be shipped. Both XL hybrid.
In SW FL they are still asking waaaay over MSRP. I have one built and ready to be shipped to the dealer. I have no idea what they will ask when it gets here, but similar models with a sticker of 26 and change, they are asking 31. Might be walking away from something I have waited 17 months...
That’s amazing! Dealerships in Florida are marking hybrids up like crazy, sometimes up to 6,000 over sticker. 30 thousand plus for an XL hybrid. I’m so jealous!
Meh just your standard whining for being left behind since September of 2022. I feel I’m due for not getting an entry level truck while the higher trim models just pass me by. But I get it: allocations, profit margins, blah blah blah. Just a small fish in a very big (profit) sea. So kiss my bass. 😉
unless you have an XL hybrid. Got an email from Ford saying that “ while your build was scheduled for the week of 11/20, constraints have pushed the build back to we don’t know when. We will update you in at least 45 days.”
This is so much fun! 🙄
I got an email today saying “yeah…we scheduled your truck for production but we don’t actually have the parts to start building it by the date we said (11/20). We’ check back when we can start the building, or 45 days from now.. whichever is first.” It’s an XL hybrid.
thanks ford.
Ha! The dealer here in Florida had a 6,900 dealer add on with mostly useless services “military grade coating for rain” on the Windshield, anti-microbial treatment, and for 90 days you get get 2,500$ off a car at their lot if your new car gets totaled…and other garbage. I’m checking your dealer out!
Oh today was scheduling day…. I don’t even care anymore. From the “we will prioritize the 23 roll overs” to the thousands of dollars over MSRPs at the dealerships…..the shine has definitely started to wear off this penny.
Haven’t gotten any communication from Ford on my order since June. Not even a 45 day one since I confirmed my order in July. I think my dealer totally dropped the ball on this one. Shame there is no meaningful way to hold dealers accountable for being less than mediocre.
I found exactly what I have been waiting for as well with my 2023 XL hybrid in cactus grey on the lot 15 minutes from my house…. Only with a price of $31,000.00. Yeaaahhhhh….no.
