If Ford really have a rodent’s behind, the price protection would have gone to the individual without the stipulation to remain at the original dealership. Suppose it’s is their way of protecting the dealership and ensuring they get their share of the business….while holding the consumer hostage.
I was the jerk….my original dealership has been less than helpful. And I think they have ordered way more mavericks than their allocations so I hedged my bets and ordered from another dealer. My new 24 maverick was scheduled from the new dealer before the 23 rollover at the original dealer. It’s...
So true! I had an order in at a dealership for a year! Hedged my bets and ordered from a second and apparently larger dealer in July. It was scheduled in 2 months. Crickets about the original 2023 rollover order. It remains to be seen if I can actually afford it though because same model (XL...
I thought the same thing! Had an order in at a dealership since September of 22. They have been inattentive at best. So i decided to hedge my bets and order a truck at another dealer the same time I confirmed my rollover at the first dealer. The NEW order I placed in July of this year has been...
It came!!! But with a twist!

It’s a shame that the price protection is only good at the dealership you ordered from. I think I am stuck with a dealership with few allocations and they sure won’t be wasting any on my entry level hybrid XL. They have 20 “in stock “ that are a variety of EB and hybrids - but only the more...
I ordered mine in September 2022. At that time my dealer said 6-8 months. HA! Almost a year later and still nothing. Chaps my a$$ to see new 24s being scheduled before me.
I don’t understand why orders and allocations live in the same universe. Allocations are based on previous sales while orders are just that: you have a buyer that has money ready to go and will buy that product if you will just build and send the damn thing…. No sitting on the lot, no special...
They are lingering on the lots because the dealers are out of their minds still with prices: 4 or 5 sitting on the lot down my way: EB XLs and XLTs $31,000 - $42,000.
“We will prioritize your rollover 2024 working within your dealer’s allocations”. Allocations on special orders is dumb. I can understand for sending stock, but you pretty much have a guaranteed buyer for your product but won’t send it because the distribution point (dealer) has low selling...
I ordered a hybrid for 2 reasons: 1.) cost savings at the pump. I drive about 50/50 interstate and in town, so it could be a wash , but; 2.) I believe by owning a hybrid I am supporting technology and practices that, while not perfect, are a step in the right direction when it comes to reducing...
I got the emails from the first go around, so either they didn’t enter the email or spelled it incorrectly or actually didn’t order it. I suppose I will be calling AGAIN to get clarification on what actually happened. Will this email also state any sort of price protection?
Sorry if this was discussed earlier…. but my dealership said they reordered and the order number was the same but I have not received a confirmation email from ford?
Weeks ago my dealership promised they would roll over my order. I called yesterday anyway just to reaffirm I still wanted it. Had to leave a message as my salesperson was not available. I didn’t hear from him or get anything kind of notification from Ford. After a call to my original dealership...
Still waiting to actually TALK to my dealership. Left a message with my salesman yesterday….no call back and he is off today. Called the sales manager…still crickets. A mediocre order system coupled with lackluster salespeople. It’s a wonderful life.
