Sorry for the delay folks, files for the insert are published here.
I'll add it to my Etsy listings in the next few days for the people who don't have access to a printer.
You have about 1-1.5" past the bottom rib of the bed before the gas tank. So you can drill and use a rivet nut, but I would advise using a drill stop or step drill. If also recommend measuring your screw to ensure that it doesn't pierce the tank.
*Drilled and riveted for two tie down anchors...
I didn't cut down the spacers, they were already installed by the time I realized. As long as it doesn't have any severly negative effect, I'll leave them as is.
I will go ahead and publish that file over the weekend. It'll be one of my community designs, so it'll be free to download or I can...
Hi all, I was out-of-office this past week so the shop was closed. It'll be open this week before paused again. On the upside, these should be the only two disruptions this summer.
The simple answer is that it should be fine as-is, I wouldn't add the in-line fuse. I've used them a few times and they can create more problems than they solve.
The technical answer is that Ford used a 20A fast-blow fuse shared between the left/right sides of the Flexbed using 16AWG, which...
I'll need to double check for the 2025s, but I know for the '22-'24 they had two different sizes of springs between the EcoBoosts and Hybrids. Airlift 1000 only offered one kit for the Maverick - sized for the EcoBoost - which is shorter and wider (I think?). It makes it really difficult to...
I absolutely remember your order! One of my best friends is from ~Pocatello and they always get a little excited when I tell them I shipped to Idaho. We do a fun back-forth where they explain where in Idaho I shipped to and what it's generally like in that area.
Based on that feedback, I'll commit to keeping using that style of boxes (for as long as I can get them). They won't get cost reduced to something more basic.
But on the topic of gift giving, they perfectly fit the Yeti 10oz tumblers (that are on sale right now).
I get excited whenever I see orders from Canada. I try to keep prices low and it bugs me how much shipping cost ends up being (relative to product cost) as soon as it crosses the border. I usually take a hit a small hit on the shipping, which I'm okay with to make sure the Mav owners up there...
Thanks Austin! I appreciate the shout-out, I'm constantly adapting the design to find ways to make it better or look cleaner. I do my best to ship out orders as fast as I can, I remember yours came at the perfect time as I was packing other orders so I got it out right away!
Given the newer style of design which prioritizes safety via crumple zones and that it's a unibody, it's extremely easy to total. Given the higher cost of vehicle (compared to the cheaper '22s and '23s), it probably amortizes as a medium-high cost vehicle.
I care about quality and the engineering; it's one of the reasons I wanted to start this. I went back through the orders and compiled these stats. I don't state that I warranty my products to avoid abuse, but I do warranty items and haven't turned down a request yet. I consider anything that...
Happy to! It's been an absolute joy making these and sending them out. I've been tweaking the design based on community feedback to make them easier to install too, so I'm glad to hear that they're being received well!
I didn't know that so many people were having that issue since it's only come up a few times. But based on the orders, it seems like most of the people who do order have a coating or liner... so I'm likely going to offer it as an official thing. It's more effort on my end to stock duplicates of...
