  1. Maverick Lightning and Ranger Lightning trademarked as Ford's new electric EV trucks

The 'waiting in line part' is why some of us are considering putting up pay chargers. More chargers, less waiting in line. Only reason gasoline- powered cars didn't have this kind of infrastructure challenge, was because gasoline already had a few industrial uses and you could buy it at machine...
  2. Maverick Lightning and Ranger Lightning trademarked as Ford's new electric EV trucks

Worth noting, "thunder" is the code word for diesel, at least in Canada. So there's a roughly 50/50 chance these are going to be diesels instead of electrics.
  3. Passenger Rear Window stuck in down position.

That's why the gods gave us warranties. Fix all the shit that's going to break, early on and on Ford's bill.
  4. My friend bought a mini 'Explorer' truck from China!

Nice in theory, but the US isn't ready for something like that. Traffic just moves too fast here.
  5. Ford's Shifting Production Policy...

Betcha it's to cover their not being able to handle COVP/ROVP. Probably only ever sold from inventory, and don't know how to deal with an actual order. This might be one time when going with a dealership that does mostly fleet orders is a good thing- they know how to use the ordering system.
  6. FITS for Ryobi 18v battery Charger

Hunh. Now this makes me kinda want to make a holder for a Black & Decker 20v battery, since I only have the rinky- dink charger they include with tool bundles. Shame my batteries are 200 miles away, otherwise I'd be able to start working on geometries.
  7. Color Matched 3D Printer Filment?

Has anyone been able to match the accent colors? If you've got a good colors that matches, can you drop a link here?
  8. Not Boomer Friendly

Given the choice, I'd rather have a USB full of music than streaming. I don't like having to burn data just to play music. And it's easier than trying to figure out how to sync iTunes to an Android phone. *glares at Google for killing Play Music* Millennial here, and I still remember those...
  9. Ford's Shifting Production Policy...

Agreed, this isn't a niche market. There's a lot of people who need a small truck, smaller even than a Ranger; and having it be the lowest MSRP is icing on the cake.
  10. HTX Mavericks

You'll probably get it way sooner. If you've got a VIN it'll be finished by October, since 2023 build dates start then.
  11. Maverick could get "THUNDER" Trim Level in Canada

That's my guess, too. The PHEV is going to be keyworded Thunder, and all- electric is Lightning.
  12. The Auto Gods Hate Ford

Why should I *not* be excited about finally being able to have a new truck with a manufacturer warranty, for the first time in my life?
  13. Ford will sell & deliver Mavericks without chips controlling non-safety critical features

So on that note, they broke in both my parents' '68 plymouths, and my grandfather's '73 F-100. And I had the wheel version break in my '06 Colorado. And TBH, I've never seen a mechanic willing to fix those cables.
  14. 2023 Order Bank dates

So if I'm reading that chart right, EcoBoost orders open on 8/2 instead of 8/15?
  15. Will the bed outlet run a small air compressor?

Sorta aside, but why the hell don't they make an adult- sized bicycle pump? Or is it some kind of weird thing like the 24" hoe, where "you can spot the people who're not pumping because they're standing upright"?
  16. What do you (will you) miss from your old vehicle in the Maverick?

Nothing. My Jeep is such a hot mess, I don't think I'll miss anything.
  17. Some 22MY Mavericks may get pushed to MY23

Probably depends on shipping times. If you're in a state close to Hermosillo, I could definitely see getting a '23 before someone in Maine or Alaska gets a '22 that shipped earlier.
  18. 2022 Maverick Final Scheduling Cut Off Date = August 4

Hey, if that happens, take it. Might be worth something- when I still worked for a toy store we'd have people ask if we had either low serial numbers or high serial numbers of numbered editions.
  19. Did Bruce Springsteen Buy A Maverick ?

Tramps like us, baby we were born to ruuunnn.... *riff*
  20. Floor jack pinch weld pucks

Safer, but you can't use them for anything that requires you to remove a tire. You really need to be able to use both.
