  1. JOB1 Climate Control Swap Question/Help

I haven't tested it, but I'm confident that "auto climate" would NOT turn on the seat or steering wheel heaters if it's hot outside, right? It (at least stock) looks at the ambient temp and adjusts hot/cold based on that. I think that's also something you may be able to adjust in Forscan (i.e...
  2. JOB1 Climate Control Swap Question/Help

My Lariat Lux has a menu option called something like Remote Start Options. Under that menu you can select what it does with the seats and steering wheel and maybe even the HVAC. (Not near the truck or I would check. I can get the exact details if you'd like, but I figure if you don't have the...
  3. ForScan - What do the ACC options do in the Cruise Control setting in the Body Control Module?

Well, I just assumed that the brake lights must come on if the vehicle's brakes are applied. I know the ACC can slow the truck with deceleration and down shifting and I just assumed that's what was going on when the guy behind me didn't leave space. (I live in California and people are...
  4. Forscan Ideas for Dummies (Things You Can Do Using Easy Mode)

I have gotten all of the ones I listed in #1 to work, including the all windows up. You must have a Lariat and enable the feature in the PDM and DDM (passenger and driver door modules) as spelled out in #1. If you do have a Lariat and it doesn't work, then maybe it needs to Lariat Lux. The...
  5. Forscan Ideas for Dummies (Things You Can Do Using Easy Mode)

I tried to find info on this using easy mode, but I can't. There is info on doing so with the as-built method here: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/disabled-auto-start-stop-with-forscan-update-did-not-work-%F0%9F%98%9E.9667/post-704023
  6. SeatBelt Splash Screen: Has Anyone Tried This

I just tried it on my '23 Lariat anyway in the off chance it could still work. (That's how much I hate this screen.) It didn't work. I got a checksum error, tried it anyway, and no dice. The first screen back was the dreaded seatbelt one!
  7. SeatBelt Splash Screen: Has Anyone Tried This

This video is a great find... for those who have an XL or XLT. I just checked my '23 Lariat and the numbers for 720-02-02 are nothing even close to what the video shows. So sad. I hate this useless screen and hope someone can figure out the Lariat code soon.
  8. Forscan Ideas for Dummies (Things You Can Do Using Easy Mode)

There is lots of useful information on MTC about using Forscan to make interesting and useful changes to the computer modules in our trucks. This post is not about using Forscan software or programming devices--you can find that information as a sticky in the Forscan forum. This post is for...
  9. FORScan Mod – Enable Eco Coach Mode

I just enabled ECO Coach on my '23 EB Lariat Lux (6/5" screen) using "easy" (aka English rather than hexidecimal). Open the not as-built IPC module in Forscan. Search for "eco" and you'll see three entries that in my case were disabled. I enabled those three and voila! See screenshot below.
  10. Does Adding Additional Drive Modes Disable Auto Stop/Start?

That would explain it--I've had it on Forscan (i.e., on but not running) a lot these days so the battery has been taxed a bit. Thanks!
  11. Does Adding Additional Drive Modes Disable Auto Stop/Start?

I've playing with Forscan lately and got around to adding the eco and sport modes to my FX4. They work great. But, ever since then, the truck has never stopped the engine at a red light. I admittedly haven't driven it enough to test this thoroughly, but it seems to not do so at times when...
  12. Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) FORScan mod (confirmed working)

I have a '23 EB Lariat Lux FX4 Tow. I successfully enabled TSR in easy mode, but initially had the round signs (European?). When I changed the IPC to enable SLIF, the square signs (US) appeared as they should. See post #452 for the simplest of instructions, although I enabled the TSR in the IPC...
  13. Automatic Car Washing Maverick?

I'll let the debate rage on, but if you decide to run 'er through, be sure to turn off the auto hold/auto brake feature. I nearly forced the machine to shut down before I realized that my truck was holding the brakes on for me!
  14. 2023 Maverick TRAILER TOW RECALL Advance Notice (11/23/22 - 2/10/23 Production Vehicles)

Just in case you missed the details, the trailer *brake lights* are not the issue-- it's the running lights (i.e., the tail lights when your headlights are on). My brake and turn signals worked fine; I just had no trailer tail lights when it got dark.
  15. 2023 Maverick TRAILER TOW RECALL Advance Notice (11/23/22 - 2/10/23 Production Vehicles)

Shocking. On the exact same day--different dealer and even different state I assume (northern UT)--I took my Lariat in for the recall this morning. I hadn't heard anything by 3:00, so I called. The service guy ho-hummed and goveled a bit saying they thought they had all the parts they needed...
  16. 2023 Maverick TRAILER TOW RECALL Advance Notice (11/23/22 - 2/10/23 Production Vehicles)

The local dealer called and confirmed they have the needed part(s) in now. )I had called a couple of weeks ago.) I'm scheduled to get mine fixed on Monday. I'll let y'all know how it goes.
  17. 2023 Maverick TRAILER TOW RECALL Advance Notice (11/23/22 - 2/10/23 Production Vehicles)

I just ran my VIN on the NHTSA and it shows a recall, as does the Ford site. (I have 4K Tow.)
  18. 2023 Maverick TRAILER TOW RECALL Advance Notice (11/23/22 - 2/10/23 Production Vehicles)

Please split your messages voicing concerns about power window features, or lack thereof, into a new thread. While mildly interesting chatter, I can't see how that has anything to do with the tow wiring recall. Thank you.
  19. Built January 10 2023. Still not shipped.

  20. What do you keep in here?

2" ball and mount, without the divider, of course. However, since I have the 4k with faulty wiring, maybe I won't be using it for a while.
