Thanks for the input. I may give both suggestions a try. I do keep the truck in the garage, but I'm outside in the sun in the summer a lot. (That's why I got the truck!)
I see my neighbor's Chevy Avalanche and think, "Wow! That looks horrible!" See picture. Then I look at my Maverick and wonder how I'm going to stop the plastic molding on mine from looking just like his.
I ordered my Mav back in '21, finally got a '23. Back then, the spray in bed liner was a constraint (which was lifted just as my truck was being built). They contracted it out to LineX for the original invoice amount of $500. (It had gone up since my order.) I couldn't be happier with the liner...
I believe it just turns off the stop/start feature by default and you could press the button to get it back on, but I'm not sure. Someone else will have to check that because I don't disable it. (I like it--mostly.)
I agree that auto brake hold is great.
So, I've got my Mav working with some great forscan tweaks, but I'm gearing up to take it in for a recall--the taillamp calibration. From what I've read taking it in for a software fix resets all the modules (i.e., deletes my tweaks). I have several questions.
1. Can I back up my [tweaked]...
Sorry I'm not too clear what the actual name of the screen is, but it's summary stats of your trip when you turn off the key. Not the hybrid one, rather the eco coach one.
So, I've been using the eco coach, but am disappointed that I have no way to see the stats at the end of a drive. I have a hunch that it's because I can't turn a key partway off (powered on but not running) because I have a Lariat that has no key. That is, I punch the button and my truck is off...
I literally laughed out loud at the replies, and laughed really hard at the warranty comment.
Maybe this can now inspire an Easter egg hunt so we can all see if we have one lurking in our truck. Maybe we should track year and trim. ;)
I just went to the motorcraft website and ran it again. Here is a screenshot with NO PCM Modules listed! That would explain the error in the XML file. For what it's worth, there are no modules listed other than BCE modules (i.e., nothing after the BCE table).
@EONR24, what fob are you using?! I have a Lariat, but the fob doesn't have the remote start button. (My original order was supposed to have it, but they said they removed it due to "supply chain issues" with chips.) It sounds like you don't have the extra button either, just lock, unlock, lock...
@fauxhican, in case you are not aware, there is a spreadsheet by livnitup that would be potentially valuable for you to cross-reference. Also the one by EONR24 that you should check out. If you can't find them easily, I can point you to them.
Just downloaded mine again and ended up with two errors:
<ERROR><ERRORCODE>612</ERRORCODE><ERRORMSG>PCM DATA NOT FOUND</ERRORMSG></ERROR>
<ERROR><ERRORCODE>614</ERRORCODE><ERRORMSG>CCC DATA NOT FOUND</ERRORMSG></ERROR>
I'm not where I can check the .ab file from the first time I downloaded it...
Impressive work, my friend! I can do some checking on some of the ones you have question marks about. You should make this its own thread that should hopefully get stickied.
I just tried these settings and they work great! Seatbelt monitor (pop-up) appears if not buckled, but dismisses when the buckle is inserted. Works as it should have from the factory! '23 EB Lariat Lux FX4 4K Tow
@EONR24 I likely owe you an apology. I said similar settings weren't working on my...
I went to the URL and it wanted a PIN. When I requested one, it said they would send me a letter with the PIN. They didn't take my name, address, or anything other than my VIN. I suppose that's how they handle "original owner" stuff.
There'll be a lot of people happy about this one. (I for one like the stop/start function, but I'm used to it having owned hybrid SUVs for years.) I do find it odd that this function is in the Power Steering Control Module, but hey, I'm not a Ford engineer. I posted it up front. Thanks once more...
I would say that's a really good thing. Some may disagree. I understood that the '22s had an option to turn the nag screen off but they removed that setting from '23+. Maybe you turned it off way back when.
