I could see it mattering in some construction trades, but not enough to break the deal.
The last guy I knew who had a Mercedes had the same attitude about it. It was an unreliable (diesel?) POS, but he got *so* bent out of shape if you suggested he sell it and get something newer. "But then I...
Seriously. I have sensitive eyes, and those things physically hurt. And the glare really messes with my wife when she's driving at night.
If they were designed to mimic stock lights, that'd be one thing. But these aren't. They're super bright, super blue, and they hurt.
Only drawback to that is they can remove the LEDs for the test, and then swap them back in afterward. And what we need is something to keep them off the road entirely.
And yeah, cops are guaranteed to ignore it.
Not just that, but some existing orders for '22 Mavericks got pushed to '23. That's going to require an even shorter ordering window for those of us who didn't get in before '22 closed.
All I want is a black XL with the 4k package and the electrical socket in the back. That's it.
I've wondered the same things about super bright LEDs elsewhere, and the response I always get is that I shouldn't be out driving at night if the glare from their headlights is blinding me. And that they literally can't see without those things.
TBH, they're bullies doing intimidation games...
Capricorn Tubes makes one (possibly two) that can handle PETG. I'd strongly advise upgrading if that's what your limiting factor is. And I've gotten way better results with a "cap tube" than the stock one.
Like I said, they can be fiddly.
Ender 3 v2 user here. They get the job done, but they're definitely kinda fiddly. Most people usually end up tinkering with them a lot- mine has a capricorn tube and a dual- gear extruder, and it's one of the least modified ones out there. Some people go so far as to install multiple extruders...
Pretty sure the Center Console Vault is still an option with the XL. But that's the only one I've heard about.
One question, though- how much benefit would "this is an obvious aftermarket lock addon" have compared to just "out of sight, out of mind"?
3 colors to drop?
Cactus Grey
Rapid Red
Area 51
3 colors to add?
Indian Ceramic (basically a dusky pink; Kaiser used it for one trim package of Jeeps in 1963)
Key Lime Neon Green
Actual Purple
Yeah... dunno what I was thinking going for 80% infill. Maybe I was concerned about it crushing when I took out the supports?
The initial plan was to have the FORD letters clearly visible, but in retrospect... yeah. Probably better to move the connector down and give it a hair more space.
Got it off the printer a few minutes ago. Most of the supports came out clean, except for a few spots due to the bottom having a bevel. And for some reason, Cura keeps putting supports in the pen cavities. Dunno what's up with that. I can't remove them (yet) because I don't have long enough...
"Cheaper than a Civic" is a really leverage-able sale point. Just dunno how willing Ford is to go there. It could trigger some really interesting marketing fights.
I got a look at the notebook holder as it was printing, and caught what looks like a fatal problem with the geometries. Just uploaded a new version that should be way stronger.
At some point, probably later this week or this weekend, I'll see about getting one for the smaller notebooks I was...
I think I grossly over- estimated the size of a "pocket notebook." I was trying for a passport- sized one, or one of the little ones with the spiral on top like my wife keeps in her purse.
This looks more like it'd hold a baby Moskeline.
