You need big tires to make those flares look right, then your gear ratio and speedo is way off. Then the truck is Slower. And It looks worse!
Don't forget worse mileage!
Iām pretty sure if you asked a 100 people, over half would prefer the XLT over the plain XL or the brown and blue lariat. But to each his own. If you have a hybrid donāt open the hood, there is orange wires everywhere. I ordered hybrid emblems that Iām adding a touch of orange to for the...
I have a feeling with everything that has happened with the bronco and hybrid Maverick that Ford guessed later in January and we will get it in December. Maybe Iām just optimistic.
I Have a 10-28 in production date for my hybrid Maverick, it has been that way for weeks. Today I called Ford and was told my Maverick has been built and waiting for a ship date. So I guess my paint is curing in a sunny parking lot in Mexico waiting for a hybrid release date. California gas is...
Sounds like you are too big for the truck, Iām 6ā1āā 225 lbs. I couldnāt believe how spacious it was for a small truck. Sounds like you need a full-size. The ridgeline is way bigger, everyone knows that. The Mavericks sweet spot is 42 mpg city for $20,000. If you decide to almost double the...
Great review! My second pick was velocity blue XL, but ended up with the XLT VB. When you see every truck grow into a locomotive and gas prices climb higher and higher along with truck prices this Maverick makes sense. I never though I would buy a FWD š» pickup, but I never thought you could get...
I live in Los Angeles and have a trifold on my full size but the Maverick is so low and Iām 6 foot Iām giving the roll up vinyl a chance. It might be easier to use. But with the snow in your area the hard cover seams to make sense.
I didnāt understand the caliper color, then the splash stripe ties it all together. Looks great. I wonder if we can change the door handles to velocity blue to match?
That was the advantage of luxury cars back then, they had all the bells and whistles. But now you can get them all in the inexpensive cars, the Maverick has amazing amount of tech for the price. That automatic stop is great, I have it on my fusion hybrid.
What can I say I am a sucker for those orange highlight, a cubby, and I really like th looks of the XLT wheels. Also las year I bought a 93 R1 RX7 and drove it across the country, it didnāt have cruise control and that was a pain! š
I was XL hybrid all the way with charcoal powder coated steel wheels. But Ford is smart, for about 2,285 you get aluminum wheels, cruise control, upgraded interior, extra tie down hooks Etc... so XLT for me.
I never even considered the Lariat, you start to get away from afFORDability. š
Ford was way behind on development on a EV truck. Rivian based their truck off of a F150. It was a natural match. If Ford came out with their lightning two years later it could have been game over. It was a smart move.
