I drive my hybrid everyday (about 1,500 a month), every night I take off my jacket and shirt etc.. there is a strong static electricity cling on my back. I'm sure it has something to do with the batteries or electric motors. I'm thinking about putting a ground strap on the truck. It can't be...
I filled up last week, as I was getting close to full I slowed down the gas flow. When it clicked off I was surprised that it took over 16 gallons on the first click. I thought the pump was off calibration but after reading this by slowing the flow it must have let more gas in before it clicked...
I also got over 600 miles on my last tank. I drove down to San Diego, it was stop and go all the way. The mileage climbs like crazy when your in stop and go traffic. Coasting and slow breaking help a lot. I'm getting better at driving a hybrid, my girlfriend tailgates and accelerates quickly...
Didn’t really like the dial in my girlfriends fusion hybrid but after the first few weeks in the maverick it’s all good. It’s low profile and out of the way, the harder thing to get use to is the parking break and also the silence of the engine. You have to see the green light to know it is...
The first few days I was disappointed in the stereo. I adjusted the bass and treble and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. I have had cars with better stereos but it’s pretty good. That being said if I could improve for not much money I would.
XLT, velocity blue, hybrid, tow, inverter, sunroof, 24,975.
XLT is 2,300 it was well worth it, wheels, interior, power mirrors, cruise control. The blue pops in the sun. The hybrid gets great mileage, when you put it in sport mode it has way more power than I would have ever thought.

The gas does cool of the fuel pump, some people fill at a quarter tank. I always run it down to empty and have never had a problem. The new computers can really get you down to a mile but there is usually a little reserve. Filling it early is probably the smart thing to do.
My first tank on regular mode 548.7 miles I tried eco a few times. I got 39.2 mpg, when I got it it had 19 miles for some reason. I drove about 50% highway 50% street, it is very hilly in my area. It seamed to pickup mpg when I was on the highway for some reason. After my second tank of gas I...
When I picked up my hybrid last week the salesman didn’t know anything about the fits package. I stopped by parts and asked them. I gave them my vin and he had the box in the back, the salesman was surprised when I walked up with it. You can’t use all the dividers because of the battery under...
Over the years I have bought economy work cars every three years or so. I drive all over Los Angeles from hospital to hospital, surgery to surgery with implants and instruments for joint replacements. Well the very first day the Maverick was announced I placed a reservation and six month later...
Looks like the
Why would you need a step when the top of the bed is so low? Also there is already a step right beside that ugly one in the body at the exact same height, it’s called the top of the tire. If this is what Chevy has they are in bigger trouble than I thought.
I would skip the hood scoop but otherwise it looks good. I’m a hybrid guy so the big tires would defeat some of the mpg gains. The big tires would go best with the eco boost, FX4, and tow package with the lower gears and a speedo recalibration.
When I was on vacation in Italy drivers would go slow in the left lane so I would pass then on the right and they would get pissed. I also almost rear ended several cars on the highway and figured it out, there were black boxes On the side of the road that would check their speed and send them...
If this clown can’t understand that a vehicle the gets 42 mpg in the city and cost 19,995/21,495 and has a bed isn’t a game changing. Well then he should hang it up because a blind man could see that.
I'm 59 and should get my Maverick today or tomorrow. I get excited with $5 gas in SoCal to not even think about the cost of gas and drive anywhere I want. I read Smokey Yunicks book and couldn't understand why when he retired he drove a Ford Fiesta, as I near retirement I understand.
Call the dealer. If that doesn't work. Cut the rest of the plastic out in that little window and then cut out the one two to the left to match. You could use a heated clothes hanger wire or a with a side cutting pencil tip.
I bet no one will notice
