That way - just in case the search function fails for someone - they'll see in the 1st page of recent threads - 1 to 3 threads on exactly the topic they were about to start a new thread on.
And hopefully read more than just the initial post, and not just comment "me too!"
At least read the 1st...
If that smart charger claims any repair processes - just letting that happen for 24 hrs is probably a good idea.
Spa day.
Little baking soda water wipe off.
Little oil around the post connectors.
Maybe a little felt pad to feel special!
Cucumber slices on the .... never mind
For sure.
My OEM battery made in Oct '23, truck 3/24, and activated 4/8/24 - when the BMS system would have started doing anything.
Which in this case, was watching a battery degrade worse until I got it 4/23.
Unless the dealership did a charge up. I'm doubtful.
No wonder it was too late by Sep...
Car Care Nut in discussing Toyota maintenance schedule with similar recommendation and same eCVT - said halving it to 70-80k would be his suggestion to move beyond minimum to just get beyond basic longevity and warranty period into making it last as long as Toyotas are known to last.
Of course...
That's true - that's the only way to know how close to toeing the line you are for Go and brake pedals.
EV Coach actually.
Sounds like the 25/26MY don't make it as easy to see this info.
EV COACH - HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE (HEV)
EV coach can help you get the most out of your vehicle's...
I guess I got into habit years ago with opening with door grabber - just in case the wind was the wrong direction and opening mid-door with handle would rip it right out of my hands.
Of course a habit of parking correctly for the wind would be a smarter one to develop - but eh.
Plus pushing...
The 2 things you stated are it - both of which can be duplicated in Normal mode.
It doesn't allow greater EV use - still maxed out at 10% power limit. (except startup in full charge)
Eco may cause a driver to not accidentally go over the limit when they are towing the line.
But I can toe that...
Probably brings a jack and lifts the left-back corner of truck by 6 inches!
Excellent example.
And 1 m to empty even.
My last fillup saw me 1 day on the wrong side of the 13 cent increase - argh.
If I'd made time and hit the station at 1 mile to - eh, $1.82 saved - still, it's the principle...
Some really don't have issues. Some have reported being in cold winter areas and not driving much!
What's your average typical drive time for most days of the week?
Distance doesn't matter, time does.
The battery saving functions are exactly so the truck starts - and thereafter works fine...
That would be a low charging voltage when it's fuller.
But a cold reading - sounds rather high.
You may already have an undercharged battery, and it's decided not safe to attempt for full charge unless you have a reeeaaaallllyyy long trip. Think battery charger float charge time - because...
This is incorrect with target SOC of 80%.
Not what the PID is called.
This is when it goes to float charge - if you have a scanner you'll see it still charges above 80%.
Also, that is 80% out of 85% fully charged Ford SOC scale. At least pre-25MY.
Not your typical AGM battery SOC scale of 80%...
It just struck me - I'm thinking of yours like a hybrid system pre-25MY.
Your manual for specs on battery says to use the same size as OEM, or have dealer correct the figures regarding it if not.
If your Voltage reading at power port goes to 12.2 after driving, which means charging, then that...
Reset for sure zero's out several points of tracking data that can be seen, probably a few more that can't be seen. Like since it's a new battery, maybe last resistance reading, and last Voltage for full battery.
The Relearn is learning what some values are that would normally be known and...
Because you are below 12.1 V.
And that 11.9 V is inflated if you had just driven - resting in the morning probably lower.
Your truck is in battery saver mode - to conserve the battery best it can.
Systems off almost instantly as you discovered.
But if fully charged - upwards of 75 min pre-25MY...
I'd suggest starting with what the news really is, that's a misunderstanding of it sounds like.
But a certain model in a certain year obtained certain figures during smog/mileage testing, using certain optional settings - and Ford was given credit for that setup that was used in fleet figures...
Reread - missed several points.
All my prior vehicles were older - I could lock keys in ignition every single one, even running.
Even those with remote lock/unlock.
Now that is probably why the manual lock and handle are on the same pivot point.
In emergency likely to automatically know how to pull handle, which opens lock, even if you have to do it twice in back seat.
But if you had to remember to roll a manual unlock thing elsewhere, could take valuable...
And I've seen the amount of inaccuracy increase as Voltage goes up.
Of course I don't care as much between 15.3 and 15.1 - can't effect that anyway.
But 1st thing in morning voltage for noting, that's good to know the amount off. 0.1 high in my case.
