On my 2025 Lariat hybrid there are two buttons on the steering wheel. They move the mode selector left or right among the five modes.

It's just a matter of pressing a button once or twice. How much simpler do you want it?

After doing some research, what I discovered for the hybrid, is Slippery mode will always engage AWD. It never switches to FWD. At the lowest speeds, around 10 - 15 mph, the brakes will engage more aggressively. I assume this is to help prevent the wheels from spinning in slippery conditions...

Mine came from the factory with a spray-in bedliner. I've had a spray-in bedliner on each my last 3 or 4 trucks. Well worth the cost.

I've been experimenting with Slippery Mode for that past few days. I think it might better fit my needs for day to day driving in my area. Are there any reasons or adverse effects that I should be concerned about? Would I be better off to use Eco or Normal modes?

I'm pretty sure that's the intended behavior as a safety feature. My previous vehicle did the same thing. I just keep moving my hands around the steering wheel.

I filled my tank this morning. 42 MTE. Pump clicked off at 13.1 gal. An extra squeeze took it 13.8. I'm getting an average of 35 mpg and about 450 miles between fill ups. Way better than my previous 1500 Silverado. 🙂

I recently had mine parked for 10 days while on vacation. All I did was put it in park and left the key on my desk. 10 days later it started up without any issues. Both batteries had acceptable charges. Drove to work and an hour later, I was ready for another vacation.

This. It appears to be 1/8 increments. I think of it as a "guide". When DTE gets to 50, I start looking for a gas station.

So, if by design, the tank is significantly larger, why state the "official" capacity as 13.8 gal? Why not round it up to 14?

This is my biggest gripe. Sometimes when I backup, I accidentally spin the dial clockwise, which goes forward. Not good. It would be nice if it had a stop at both ends.

I agree, we should have the option. I was just emphasizing that at some point a new phone won't be compatible with a 20 year old vehicle. Unless some method of backwards compatibility is offered.

I believe the limiting factor will be how well backward compatibility is maintained. At some point the hardware in the vehicle will become obsolete.
