I have the "Deep Sleep" syndrome and I like your bad cable theory. Now I understand the cable problem. I have a battery charging meter in the cigarette lighter. Always charging over 15.2 volts. Battery not charging or holding charge. Cable. Brilliant.

I'm also caught in the same "Deep Sleep" forever episode. It has been over a year that this problem surfaced. It would be inconceivable for me to think Ford engineers do not to know whats wrong. Maybe there are multiple causes. The fix must be awful expensive.

I like the Solar Charge idea. If I have it putting the charge back thru the cigarette lighter, will the current flow stop, to the battery, if the car is turn off and the cigarette lighter auto disengages? Does this mean you have to wire to battery?

Dash lights were out due to a "download that was interrupted".
Dealer downloaded the software, works great.
Hybrid, 3/10/22, still in "Deep Sleep". Battery is charging over 15.2+-. Remote features off, still starts with key.
