I'd go with an RPi Zero 2 W. I've been surprised how well it can run some applications. For $15, try it out and see if it will do what you want.

The Zero 2 is a bit more capable if you find the original Zero doesn't quite have enough to run what you need.

Sad bad news, got a usb-C to usb-C power data cable and the Maverick doesn’t have enough power at dashboard to run pi4, the rear seat plug does but not connected to infotainment system. Project halted.
did you measure the current draw?

That should be plenty for a pi4 no? I think I use a 2.5 power supply. Also the pi zero/2 I think would def be powerful enough.

Been fascinated by the new e-paper product price tags that has its own wifi hotspot built in to setup its web host. Got a clock and calendar as well. Super cheap in like 100 per order. Would like to find one maverick cubby sized.

I see that auto pi has a jumper on obd. And the auto start eliminator solutions on the market work by also adding a jumper on obd and have an inline control to set auto start. Would it be possible to let the pi control that. As well as default drive mode setting. Instead of just reading the diagnostic data. There’s a pyOBD library that looks like it just sends queries and reads responses but I’m assuming there would be a way to have a pi do the same thing the auto start eliminators do
