  1. XL Hybrid finally done adding things to it

With so many of us adding cruise control to our 2022 Mavs Ford most likely saw the opportunity to raise price approximately $2500 and add cruise control that most likely cost them $50 for the switches. I've got a 2023 XL Hybrid on order, if it ever gets built I'll decide if I sell the 2022 or 2023.
  2. XL Hybrid finally done adding things to it

Wish I could be more help. Wife and I took a trip to Hawaii in February with a stop over night in Oakland, a fellow XL owner was able to install the cruise switches but didn't have a computer, we set it up for him to come to our hotel and I programmed his Mav for him. Another man in California...
  3. XL Hybrid finally done adding things to it

Yes Mike, the key will still lock and unlock the tailgate. Not sure what the problem is, I'd take the lock assembly loose and look for how the key cylinder aligns with the power actuator.
  4. XL Hybrid finally done adding things to it

I'm not quite sure what you're asking. The new wire harness for the power tail gate lock connects to the same connector as the original wire harness for the back up camera connects. When you install the new power tail gate lock and new wire harness you will remove the original wire harness in...
  5. Placed order with my local ford dealer 9/17/2022, when should I expect it?

Sorry to say you may never get it. Ford has said that there won't be any carry over on 2023 model year orders like there was for 2022 models that weren't built. With that said 2023's should be built until October this year (3rd assembly shift to be added this July). It took 8 months for my...
  6. Added Cruise Control (to XL Hybrid w/ Co-Pilot360) using OEM factory steering wheel switches

Glad to have been able to help you over the phone. You did all the hard work of changing the switches, getting the OBD connector, buy the Forscan license and downloading the program. I would say I was just the "brains" of the job but I'm not so sure on that! Take care Howard.
  7. Keeping rodents out of truck

Don't use any poison, animal will die inside vehicle and the odor will keep YOU out of the vehicle. Any type of odor material (dryer sheet, Irish Spring soap, moth balls) may work for awhile but eventually an animal will get used to the odor and not care. Best is to use a mouse trap, if...
  8. 🤝 List of honest dealerships for Ford Maverick buyers

In St. Charles MO near St. Louis go to Pundmann Ford. Eliot Starr is the salesman to see. Good, large family owned business and the only dealership they have but sell and service a lot of vehicles.
  9. Hauling how much dirt?

I used my Maverick to haul dirt recently, wasn't sure how much to haul at one time. Local supplier uses a small skid loader, I would guess the bucket is about 5 foot wide. When they loaded the dirt they did so at an angle to the bed (not straight on or from the side) and most of the dirt...
  10. Maverick Hybrid is most SATISFYING new pickup truck according to Consumer Reports survey of owners

So happy with mine I ordered a 2023 Hybrid XL, will decide which one to keep if I get the 2023. modified from original by the following: cruise control switches and programming using Forscan changing the manual tail gate lock to factory electric installing storage "cubbies" on both sides of the...
  11. What is this slanted green indicator on the Hybrid?

As others have said, it's part of the Copilot 360 option for warning when going out of your lane. Road has to have lines(stipes) on lane for it to work and may be speed related also but not sure. Turns off/on by switch on end of turn signal stem. Steering wheel should shake slightly when...
  12. Another 45day email

Didn't we all know there would be a wait (long wait) to get a Maverick, if we even get one? It took 8 months to get my 2022, ordered a 2023 with not only a good chance of another long wait but a good chance of not even getting it.
  13. Added Cruise Control (to XL Hybrid w/ Co-Pilot360) using OEM factory steering wheel switches

per Forscan website: Supported platforms: Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10 (ELM327-compatible adapters with COM, USB, Bluetooth and WiFi interfaces, J2534 PassThru adapters). Note: only x86/x64 architecture is supported for Windows. ARM architecture is not supported! iOS v9.0 and higher...
  14. Cut my fuel line!

I've tried to help you but have failed. _you first tried to claim FoMoCo was required by warranty to provide a loaner by posting misleading information. Only after I questioned you on it did you come clean. -You want recall work done now (service tech will have to push the truck in and back...
  15. Cut my fuel line!

Wow, "built Ford tough" doesn't mean if you drive and hit something while driving on the hiway no damage will occur. Your issue is an insurance issue, not a FoMoCo or Ford Dealership issue. Again, my suggestion is to ask the Service Manager to ask the Parts Dept. Manager to see if a dealer...
  16. Cut my fuel line!

I'm a retired over 20 year Ford Dealer Service Advisor. The Dealer is very limited in what power they have over decisions FoMoCo makes. The Dealer is limited on how long a rental may be provided for the Recall. You may be able to have a day or so rental covered per the recall, ask the dealer...
  17. Cut my fuel line!

From the owner's manual: Ford and your dealer are not responsible for any time or income that you lose, any inconvenience you might be caused, the loss of your transportation or use of your vehicle, the cost of rental vehicles, fuel, telephone, travel, meals, or lodging, the loss of personal or...
  18. Cut my fuel line!

Where did that come from? Under certain recalls FoMoCo does authorize a rental that Ford will pay for. Under basic warranty repairs Ford will not pay for a rental. Just because Ford authorizes a dealer to provide a rental, doesn't mean Ford will pay the dealer.
  19. Cut my fuel line!

Have to ask, Where does it say Ford will provide loaner under warranty? If you bought an extended warranty from Ford then a rental car is covered under that policy. There are time/dollar limits but a dealer can request additional coverage for you from Ford. Also, the parts manager can make a...
