No special tools required except to have the proper oil filter wrench. Just changed mine and my wife's the other day and the oil filter is on there pretty tight.
You'll need a T30 bit for the 15 screws to take off the undercarriage shield and a 15mm socket for the drain plug. That's pretty much...
A friend of mine has a 2005 Tacoma and he insists that it is bigger than the Mav. No way. I have set in the back of the Taco and my knees almost touched my ears. Even in the front seat I can never get comfy. Seems like the seats are quite low to the floor.
Is that hand calculated or are you going by the computer? Mine shows above 40mpg most of the time on the computer but once I hand calculate it comes in at 37-38. The best MPG I ever got was 39.7 hand calculated and the majority of my driving is city on my 25'AWD.
As other suggest I would try to rent a Mav for a couple of days to see if you can adjust to it.
I bought mine without ever setting a foot into a dealership and drove it back from Kentucky to Texas. That was a 25'XL Hybrid AWB. No complaints at all. I am about 235lbs and 6'. Some people complain...
Ignore the haters. I am with you on all of the points you listed excepted the first one as I never owned one before. That's why I ordered and AWD with 4k package. It is just my wife and I plus 2 dogs. Hope to be able to buy a pull behind very soon.
I ride a 2017 Honda Africa Twin as well as a 2008 Yamaha TW200. Best of both worlds.
Loaded the TW in the back of the Maverick before but prefer to pull my trailer behind. Much easier to load.
While it is true but there are most likely quite a few Jeep owners on here like myself.
And I will actually be going there with some buddies this year. Looking forward to it.
Will be taking my Wolfbox portable jump starter with me as well.
Yes, you are absolutely correct. Forgot about the Go-Lite. Prefer the Hopper2 as well due to its construction and the better bathroom but don't like the placement of the bed. The Sunlite's patio is a really nice option but just not convinced about their built quality. Some of their details are...
z would not exceed the factory recommended weight limits.
Take a look at either the Sunlite 14THX, Coleman 13t or the Modern Buggy Hopper 2. They are all three more or less the same and are small toy haulers with two beds (1fold out tent with a bed and a Murphy bed). Plenty of space to haul all...
Looking at tonneau covers right now as well and that is one of the requirements. Transport my TW200 in the back once in a while and on some of them the last panel cannot be moved. No go for me as well.
