  1. Safe to leave a key fob in the truck?

I can only say that the first thing somebody does when they break into a vehicle is to ransack it. ;)
  2. Safe to leave a key fob in the truck?

Ah,there’s been a couple of others that say the alarm can arm from just the keypad. I don’t have a keypad unfortunately, so I couldn’t test that. Thanks for the info. You have a better system than I do. :)
  3. Safe to leave a key fob in the truck?

Interesting how did you arm the alarm. I thought that could only be done from the key fob or did you arm it with the fob and then toss the fob in the car? Or were you able to arm it with a keypad on the outside of the car?
  4. Safe to leave a key fob in the truck?

That should actually be irrelevant. I can toss my fob anywhere inside my car and still hop in and start it.
  5. Safe to leave a key fob in the truck?

Sure, then anyone can jump in your truck and drive off with it. Also I don’t believe either your security system or your alarm system, if you have one, will function. (At least according to Ford)

  7. Oil type question!

General Motors is now recommending a switch from 0W-20 to 0W-40 motor oil for vehicles equipped with the 6.2L V8 L87 engine due to potential internal engine defects. This change is part of a safety recall affecting nearly 600,000 vehicles to improve engine protection and performance
  8. Changes for 2027

Looks like maybe dual exhaust with double tips on each pipe? That could explain the extra 15 hp.
  9. Anyone using a radar detector in their Maverick?

I think that may be backwards unless something changed since the last time I looked at vortex radars test. I believe he said it’s the magnesium case on the V1 that works against the radar detector detectors most of the other detectors use a plastic case. šŸ¤”
  10. Anyone using a radar detector in their Maverick?

They also use radar detector detectors. And I believe the only radar detector that cannot be trulydetected by a radar detector Detector is the Valentine V1.

  13. My tailpipe looks like it was patched

My 2025 XLT has a similar patch looks slightly different but it’s in the same spot.
  14. Opinions and pics of lowering.

With all the speed bumps in my town, I would never consider lowering my vehicle! 🤣
  15. 2025 Rough Idle in drive or reverse when on brakes

Like you, I was shifting into neutral, whatever stopped, but after doing some research on the web, the consensus seems to be that that’s a bad practice for several reasons. One of which is apparently the shifting back-and-forth from neutral to drive causes additional wear on the transmission and...

My 2025 XLT does the same thing.

  19. AC always come on at startup?

Well, I tried moving the temperature up to 80 and there was at least a five second delay before the AC light came on, so then I moved the temperature slider all the way to high shut it off and restarted and the AC light seem to stay off, so I’ll try that for my next few cycles and see if it’s...
  20. AC always come on at startup?

OK, I tried turning the fan all the way off and stopped the engine. However, when I started the engine, the AC was on again so that didn’t work. I’ll have to look and see if there’s anyway you can actually turn the temperature off. I’m thinking you can only turn it up and down.
