Can't argue getting an extended warranty but I don't usually keep a vehicle much past the factory warranty. The longest I ever owned a vehicle was 5 years and shortest was less than 1 year. Everyone wants to buy my old ones, low mileage, garage kept, very clean and never abused. :)
Desert Sand may not be the perfect color but neither are many of the other choices and as noted you need to see them in the flesh before you chose one. Personally I would be happy with either one. I have owned 4 Mavericks in 4 different colors and liked all of them. :)
With a dry weight of 3060 lbs I think you will be fine when loaded up. I tow a lot of small sports cars and I know they are not camper trailers but my tow weight is at 4k (+/-) and have no issues. The 2.0 tows it with no concerns. I don't tow much in the mountains so no data there but was...
I think it was basic economics, cheaper to make one cab style since ext cabs didn't sell well compared to the crew cab. I wish Ford made a 2 door cab on the Ranger and Maverick but doubt I will ever see one.
I had a 20 Ranger with 2.3 and got 22 combined city/highway and 14-16 towing car hauler trailer. Good truck and downsized to a Maverick but occasionally miss the Ranger when doing truck stuff.
I get mileage in the high teens hauling my MG on the highway. Trailer brakes, 2.0, 4k and total weight 3600. When I downsized to Mavericks I downsized my trailer from a steel deck open 18' to a semi aluminum open center 17' with torsion bar suspension so ramps are 3 ft long and weigh @10 lb...
I also got the same recall notice. When I take it in for its first service I will let them do (or not) the PADI fix.
It may be a while since I have owned this one 4 months and just hit 500 miles on the clock.:)
Door tape is not original and good to hear you refused to pay the additional 4k. Those options are mostly trinkets and snake oil to boost the dealers profit. 4k of dealer installed crap is just greed.
Haven't seen a Space White Maverick so can't help with your question but I have owned 2 CG Mavericks, 1 Area 51 and now a Desert Sand Maverick and I like pastel colors so don't miss the CG even though it was a color I really liked. Color is a always personal choice so good luck. :)
Nothing wrong with the peanut gallery and if you were a little less condescending we would not be trading posts. Life is too short to get in a pissing contest over peanuts so will end here and let you get back to bigger batteries.
As member of the peanut gallery I don't like spoons in my face and if this is creative inspiration and fun why don't you show us how it's done so you can enlighten the functionally unarmed. A completed project is infinitely more interesting than the above diatribe or are you just a troll?
I don't have the product loyalty I did 30-40 years ago so I buy what I think is the best vehicle for me at the time. Second item is price and if I feel its good value then I buy it, if too expensive I walk. I have owned 4 Mavericks but if I could buy an equivalent Santa Cruz for the same...
The more I use my 25 the more I can live with the new gauge cluster and ac controls on the screen.
I am an old man with old school preferences but as long as it starts and takes me where I want to go the gauge cluster oddities are unimportant. :)
