I ordered 2 from different dealers in Sept hoping to get 1. It was over 5 months and I hadn't heard anything from Ford and one became available at a different dealer, equipped as we wanted, at the end of Feb. They gave us a decent trade-in price at that time so we bought it. The very next...
I got a notice from Ford yesterday that our 2023 xlt/lux pkg area 51 was built Friday but no shipping date yet. We bought a 23 xlt/lux in Feb at a dealer a day before we had a build date! If someone is interested please pm me. I'd rather see it go to someone for a fair bit less than what a...
We had a deal on a used 22 XLT that fell through as it had a gas leak at the gasket between the tank and filler neck that we discovered. It also had the "exhaust system" issue. The dealer claimed it had 2 exhaust pipes delivered by FEDEX that were damaged in shipping. Then they said no more were...
Thanks Castle666. So will my F2GT-1A180-AB 315mhz sensors work? Mine is a hybrid not an eco. Looks like the tire shop may just want to sell me something I don't need. Any suggestions for a TPMS relearn tool that will work with the Mav?
I just called TPMS.com and they said the 315mhz sensors will work. Mine have a ford part# F2GT-1A180-AB. The 433mhz is for monitoring trailers being towed by a ford vehicle.
Yes our 2015 VW Passat uses the ABS sensors as well to calculate the diameter and thus the pressure of a tire. Very simple to reprogram with a button by the glove box. Our 2018 Chevy volt has sensors like the mav.
I checked my sensors and they are clearly marked 315 MHZ so it looks like I'll need new sensors. The tire shop sells them for $35 each installed. I'm planning on getting them mounted/installed on Saturday the day after we get our mav.
thanks for clarifying that for me.
Looks like we will have a new 2023 XLT soon. I have a set of 2022 XL rims and TPMS sensors for winter tires. The local tire shop claims the 2022 sensors won't work with the 2023 XLT as the sensors are year specific. I called a local Ford dealer service department and was told this was probably...
we bought a used 22 hybrid XLT with 7K. Same problem, they claim they had 2 replacement exhaust pipes come in damaged by fedex and don't know when they can get another. They offered to "unwind" the deal and give us our trade-in back. We did just that and will wait for our 23 on order.
Look into Waxoyl, We've had it done on several vehicles and it is the best, not inexpensive but worth it IMHO. Once and done as they say
BTW I have no connection to Waxoyl other than a satisfied customer.
So yes cold temps always reduce mileage not just because the engine runs more but also cold air is denser so more aerodynamic drag, more rolling resistance due to winter tires if installed, snow buildup in wheel-wells, etc. Every vehicle, ICE, PHEV, Hybrid, EV gets poorer mileage in the cold month.
Mazda MX5, NC version, so 2006 or newer with a PRHT. Our's is an 07, 130K trouble free miles, 30+mpg unless you have a VERY heavy R foot. Of course it has to have a 6sp manual too. The NA and NB are fine as well but a bit less refined if your tastes run in that direction.
