I've been able to track the long, slow but steady progress on the rail line, but now it's just sitting at the final rail destination awaiting transport to the dealer. Been a week now. Knowing it's so close but out of my control is KILLING ME!!!!!!!!!
Currently drive a Kia Soul, wife drives a Sorrento. Both have been phenomenal. The Soul has had a slew of recalls over the years, as well as a complete engine rebuild....but all under the phenomenal 5 year warranty. It's a 2014, so it was the first year of a re-design with a bunch of changes. It...
I think it's both. A slight boost in power (or efficiency) that then causes a slight boost in MPG. Note: I'm no engineer, just trying to repeat what I understood in another post.
These problems should not be happening. I hope the dealer gets this figured out for you. Crossing my fingers that it's something as simple as a bad factory battery. That's something that does occasionally happen, and an easy fix. Please keep us posted with how this progresses!
I believe you'll lose a little efficiency, as the ICE will need to run during your short trips to keep the hybrid battery fully charged. The slight drain is a bigger issue for those that will let it sit for long periods without driving. 2-3+ weeks at a time or longer. Bigger problems for that...
This review is getting me even more excited for my soon-to-be-delivered Maverick! Thanks for the in-depth commentary. I noticed that you mentioned the interior plastics will need regular ArmorAll cleaning, and I'm totally fine with that. But have you experienced the "easily scratched" dash and...
I believe there was a thread on this before.....the hybrid Atkinson engine is optimized for regular fuel, not premium. With ecoboost, there can and will be a difference with the fuel upgrade.
Exactly the same for me. Quite a few times the blind spot has saved my current car from a parking lot mishap. If the Co-Pilot even prevents one small fender bender, it'll pay for itself. Only a few bucks more than my $500 insurance deductible.
I'm just commenting to make it three illinois people in a row!
Haven't seen many around yet!
Congratulations! Really interested to see how it handles in the winter.
I'm curious what your other vehicles were. I think a truck/pickup would have a more verticle windshield than a sedan, so it would be more prone to getting hit by debris. But I'm just guessing.
I didn't think there'd be many Canadians order a 2wd Hybrid. I wonder what the percentage of hybrid orders is vs Eco AWD for the Great White North?
Looks beautiful. Eagerly awaiting your review after you get a bit of driving time in!
shipped the day after it was built. However, my delivery is likely to not make the estimated time frame. Makes me a little disappointed, as many have gotten an earlier delivery time than expected.
exactly what drew me to the Soul. It's useful. The back seat is plenty big enough for adult passengers (lots of legroom in the back) and cargo is decent with the seats folded down. I'm always amazed at how short the car is (lengthwise)....and no topping the 5 year warranty. It's a great value...
The reviews like this one get me riled up. For a truck (hybrid) that is already sold out for model year '22 to be criticized as "it’s clear there isn’t overwhelming enthusiasm" just shows the stupidity of the author.
While I'll read anything and everything Maverick, I put more significantly...
For me the Ford tracker was pretty accurate. My order was stuck at the "in production" spot for a few weeks as the dates were pushed back. I did get "built" and "shipped" emails once it got to those stages, and both of those came slightly AFTER the status was updated on the Ford tracker (but...
Does it really take that long between unloading and dealership delivery? Damn. Mine's finally reached Chicago Heights (final rail destination) and I was hoping to get in this week!
