I looked pretty hard at the Escape, they're a nice car and the PHEV is cool but I was stuck on getting AWD and kinda need a truck more than a station wagon.
Good luck and happy trails!
Sadly, that's about what I figured.
I've made laser cut versions of these for previous cars and unless the holes are pretty big they usually whistle like a son of a gun. I may make a set at work if I ever find time but the holes would probably need to be about 2-3" in diameter to not screech...
Can the side marker lights just be simple, similar to factory design but not leaky or tacky looking?
I literally just want something that looks like Ford put it there, I don't want gaudy silver, I don't want zebra stripes, I just want a bright LED with an orange diffuser in a black housing that...
My buddy's parents had one of those, might even still have it. They are LOADED and back around 2014 or 2015 bought an Aston Martin for "the English Cottage" and the dealer offered them a Cygnet for a very low price, less than $10,000. The dealership probably wanted to get it off the lot but...
The glacially slow seatbelt retraction and the super sensitive kick off for turn signals, I hit the turn signal and then if you gently blow on the steering wheel it clicks off.
Both of those are Ford things and both have driven me nuts for years.

That's pretty standard for me and I definitely don't drive like a senior citizen.
Nah, been using a ford capless for the last 8 years in various vehicles and it's never once been a problem. Try sticking the nozzle straight in rather than some goofy angle.
For sure, the Maverick is peppy and fun to drive but an STI or WRX is gonna give him a rough time, or even a Legacy 3.0r... Hell, a Toyota Sienna with the V6 will hang right alongside for a annoyingly long time.
Modern cars are ridiculously fast compared to the old junk most of us grew up with...
The Montana isn't much competition for the Maverick, from what I read it's tiny and gutless.
Aside from that, I'm just not a chevy guy, learned my lesson twice and that was enough to turn me off pretty much anything they make other than the corvette.
This is the best advice I've seen in this thread.
OP, you are getting LOTS of good information but without having a trailer to tow then it's all just noise. A 2" drop is probably fine but maybe the trailer you end up towing will need something else and your shiny new 2" drop hitch is gonna...
