Just chiming in for info, that looks like the EVAP Canister Purge Valve. I'd imagine it's just in a different place on the Bronco, possibly underneath the intake hose depending on how they routed the EVAP lines
I gave CS my Sales Code and Order Code and she quoted my order as "Processing, placed today, unscheduled clean priority 10 with no scheduled build date"
Sound about right?
Word. I'm gonna text my salesperson first thing in the AM and request they shoot me a build sheet copy and verify my email in their information.
Just called the Ford helpline and they were able to see my order as Processing, placed today. All I can know right now.
"Placed" my order for Hot Pepper XLT Hybrid this afternoon. Of course I haven't gotten an email but I'm worried the order may not be taken if it wasn't put in immediately while I was there. The GM was sitting at his computer working through the options as we talked so I assume he was keying it...
I was at my Dealer when the banks opened Thursday afternoon. Of course the system was down instantly so I was told to come back after work Friday. I went back yesterday after work and the GM and my salesperson had left at noon. Nobody else there could put the order in, so I left my price sheet...
I've been settled on an XLT add HPR, hitch, sliding window and bed mat for a while, but adding the cruise to XL standard this year really made me think. I believe I'm still going to go XLT because I want HPR. If I'm going to make payments on this thing, it needs to be a color I like looking at.
Just talked to my dealer, they knew orders were open and my buddy who works there had just finished talking to another former employee about ordering. They will require a deposit but it's refundable if I change my mind. I can deal with that.
Now I just hope the pricing is available in time to...
Visited my local Capital Ford and was told they still haven't been told a definitive date other than "sometime in September" but they sounded like they aren't confident it will open on time.
Gonna order when the banks open next month
Ordering because It's a great price to get into a small truck that I could use fairly often. I've found myself borrowing my dad's F150 fairly often and I'm tired of filling it up.
One thing to remember with it being such a new vehicle is that your problem may actually be a very small issue. It could be a simple fix, but with it being within 12 month/12K miles (IIRC) they won't repair assemblies, so Ford just sends a new one.
So you may not have had a catastrophic...
This is not an uncommon occurrence. There's also nothing wrong with it. The only reason you're noticing it at all is because the rest of the spindle is painted. If it weren't painted the whole thing would be flash-rusted, the surface would look "even" and you wouldn't complain.
Not by any means, no. I only personally remember working on 2 eCVT failures. One had 200k miles, and the other was a sensor failure at ~60K. Remember one C-Max that threw a rod. Never personally saw a dead HVB come through. My point was that I'd be more worried about the mechanic components than...
If you don't consider how expensive the engine is to replace when buying a car, then there's no reason to fret over the battery failing IMO. The Hybrid system also has a much longer warranty than the engine so there's that to think of also.
I didn't work on a ton of hybrids in my career, but I...
