  1. Leaking oil & coolant after 30 miles

Oh cast iron absolutely warps, I had a 3.8 Buick that could attest to that lol. Modern Fords do a pretty good job of regulating overheat conditions though. When they go into overtemp protection they cut alternating cylinders to pump air through, and will shut down completely past a certain CHT...
  2. Just got my XLT hybrid. Pretty cool! BUT!

Word. My fusion doesn't even have sync so I'm unfamiliar with what will work and what won't. looking forward to plugging in and leaving my phone alone, just don't wanna deal with the same cord snake.
  3. 2.5 hybrid engine requires Premium Gasoline?

My 2007 Fusion's manual states it is safe to run E15 (I guess it's being sold as 88 octane now? haven't seen that local yet), but I ran exactly one 16 gallon tank of sheets E15 through it and the mileage difference between it and 87 octane was so bad I thought something was broken. I have no...
  4. How many Mavericks have you seen?

Precisely two. A grey AWD as I entered highway 64 in Rocky Mount about a month ago, and a Blue one that was at Doug Henry Ford in Tarboro for all of like, 5 minutes. I've yet to see one in a parking lot I could walk by and look at up close.
  5. Just got my XLT hybrid. Pretty cool! BUT!

Wait, so when I finally get a Maverick in MY2028, I can't use a cool coily Lightning cord from Amazon? I'm gonna have to use a 9ft long Apple cord that doesn't even come with the phones anymore and have it lay all around my floorboard like some sort of weird kink leash? Well now I'm just sad...
  6. Auto Stop/Start Not Working

You're generally correct about the 12.1v/50% state of charge. As others have said, you've done as much as you should be expected to with a new car. If the issue persists, when you take it back insist it be diagnosed since the issue is recurring. If you have a charging issue, it should be easy...
  7. Leaking oil & coolant after 30 miles

I wouldn't panic too much until someone cleans it up and finds the source. I've seen the Oil filter adapter not be threaded tightly through the oil cooler and it pissed all over the bottom of the car during PDI. snugged up with a 14mm allen and all was fine. Positive thoughts, right?
  8. Thumping feeling in my wheel tire/lower front left!!!!!!!!!

Just off the hip, sounds like a binding CV joint.
  9. Auto Stop/Start Not Working

Gotcha. That voltage seems low fresh off the road, and the entered vs. actual CCA reading makes me question the setup of the tester. 10V is just about right for starter draw. I'd like to see 10.5 on a battery this new but that's just me. Did they mention whether or not they scanned for any...
  10. Auto Stop/Start Not Working

Able to have someone start the truck while you hold the meter on the battery to see how low it sags under starter load?
  11. Auto Stop/Start Not Working

After a 30-45 minute drive, a voltmeter directly on the battery posts within a couple minutes of shutting the car off should show 12.8 volts or so, and (if healthy) the battery should settle down to 12.6 or so after about 15 minutes. If it's not doing that, or very close, something is wrong...
  12. Big Shudder

Curious to see what the service department says. Even if they can't replicate it, there may be a code set that would indicate a possible issue. This is the biggest reason to visit a dealer soon after an intermittent issue happens; the closer you go to when an issue occurs, the more information a...
  13. Just got my XLT hybrid. Pretty cool! BUT!

Does the ambient lighting on the USB ports light up with the key on?
  14. Fun pauses after a month :(

Alldata doesn't even list that code yet. I'm confused as to how it would even apply in an eCVT and if it did, how an Engine replacement would fix it. EDIT: So the generic base definition is an out-of-spec correlation between ISS and OSS. Never encountered an eCVT with that condition, probably...
