I am a bit confused. On your website, you show a cat skid plate and an engine skid plate. The engine skid plate will NOT fit a '25 hybrid AWD or it will? Which skid plate is the one that needs the redesign to accommodate the '25 hybrid AWD?
I just went over 7k miles on my '25 Lariat hybrid. Do you have any good links on a how-to for replacing the PTU and RDU fluids? Does the E-CVT have fluid, too? Or is that the RDU fluid? All these acronyms are confusing me, plus this is my first hybrid lol
That explains it. Plugging in a trailer automatically disables lane-keeping. You will get a pop-up message on the dash about it when it happens.
What kind of mpg did you get on the trip?
I towed my 2016 Yamaha YZX1000R about 100 miles round-trip a few weekends ago. My trailer weighs around...
The TFL dudes ran the speed limit supposedly, which is 65-75. I routinely get under 30 mpg when doing long trips crossing Texas interstates at 75+. This thing did about half that while max towing. Thats not bad. I bet if they just maintained a constant 60-65, they would gain another few mpg. My...
That looks great! You have the same color as me. I already have the Goodwin sway bar, but I am waiting to buy the springs until after I decide what to do with my big truck (2003 GMC Sierra). If I sell the GMC, then the Mav will be my only truck, so I won’t bother with lowering it. If I keep the...
Definitely not. Against a control arm or whatever is underneath the spring or shock. Your objective is to load up that corner of the suspension like it was sitting on the ground. Then you can proceed with tightening the bolts and not having preload on them.
Just put a jack under the suspension corner you are working on (with no wheel) and jack it up until the Mav just starts lifting up. That means the suspension is loaded and you can tighten all the bolts needed.
I had a 2023 XLT 2.0 AWD and sold it after 6 months. I got my 2025 AWD hybrid Lariat about 6 weeks ago and it is absolutely fantastic. It is rated to tow the same as my old one, but the mpg is leagues better. It hits everything I want in a daily and I will be keeping it a looong time.
Wow, I have a similar size SxS and a similar weight trailer. I was hoping for better than the 10 mpg my 2003 Sierra 6.0 gets, which is 10 mpg loaded or unloaded lol
Lariat is the top trim level. It has everything the XL gets and much more. I also have the 4k tow package. There should be no way I only paid $2xxx more than you for way more truck.
You will need to look at interior pics. The 4k tow package trucks all get a trailer brake controller. It is low and to left of the steering wheel. Request interior pics of Mavs you are looking at, if they don’t already have pics like that available. That is the only way to absolutely determine...
The FWD models won't be able to tow any car, since they are rated for only 2k. You need an AWD to get the 4k tow rating. Are you wanting an ecoboost or a hybrid? The hybrid has the option now in '25 to tow 4k, which it couldn't '22-24, because of the lack of AWD.
I personally had a '23 XLT...
Thanks for the discount code. I am ready to buy, but I have a question. I read this whole thread and you don't really mention the glare prevention difference between the grey and blue options. Does only the blue have glare prevention at night? How much does the blue affect visibility during the...
